Fellow Editors Swear By These Glow-Boosting Makeup Products—These Are the Ones I'd Actually Buy
One beauty editor puts some of the best-selling Patrick Ta makeup products to the test to see what all the hype is about.
If there's one makeup brand that's been on everyone's lips over the past year of so, it's Patrick Ta. One of the biggest celebrity makeup artists in the world, Ta is known for his glowing makeup looks and has worked with the likes of Gigi Hadid, Halle Berry and Hailee Steinfeld. So, when he launched his own brand in 2019, it was no surprise that we were all desperate to get our hands on it.
In the UK, the brand launched exclusively at Cult Beauty, and it's still proving incredibly popular. In fact, after chatting with the Cult Beauty team at the end of last year, they told me that the brand's Major Headlines Double-Take Cream Powder Blush Duo was the retailer's bestselling beauty product of 2025. Pretty crazy, right?
As a complete newbie to Patrick Ta makeup, I was desperate to try this bestselling blush. However, I was also keen to test more products from the brand, so I thought, why not create a full face of makeup using only Patrick Ta? This weekend, before heading out to dinner with friends, I did exactly that, and honestly? I've never looked so glowy in my life. In fact, all of my friends asked me where my foundation (and blush) were from, and all placed orders as soon as they got home. Want to know more about my favourite products? Keep on scrolling.
The Best Patrick Ta Products, Tried Tested
- Best Base Product: Patrick Ta Major Skin Hydra Luxe Skin Perfecting Foundation, £52
- Best Blush: Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Cream and Powder Blush Duo, £37
- Best Eyeshadow: Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Duos, £37
- Best Lip Product: Patrick Ta Major Glow Lip Shine, £21
1. Patrick Ta Major Skin Hydra Luxe Skin Perfecting Foundation
Pros
- Lightweight formula
- Adds a second-skin finish
- Seriously dewy
Cons
- Doesn't offer a lot of coverage
This is easily one of the best glowing foundations I've tried. It's incredibly lightweight (I felt like I was wearing nothing at all), offers light to medium coverage (but is easily buildable), and adds this dewy, second-skin finish that made it look like I drink endless amounts of water and get weekly facials (I'm more of a Diet Coke and double cleanse kind of gal). My skin was left plump and hydrated, and I already can't wait to wear this again. The best bit? If you prefer a full coverage finish, you can actually use this product as a glow-boosting primer.
2. Patrick Ta Major Sculpt Crème Contour Powder Bronzer Duo
Pros
- Comes with a cream and powder formula
- Blends like a dream
Cons
- Cream bronzer is more subtle on the skin
After applying a bit of concealer under my eyes, I then went in with this cream and powder bronzing duo. I used the cream product as I wanted to further enhance that dewy finish, and it did not disappoint. I will admit, I think I could have gone with a darker shade to create a more contoured finish (I opted for one of the lighter options), but the dewy cream practically melted into the skin and blended like a dream. Next time, I'll definitely add the powder on top for more depth.
3. Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Cream and Powder Blush Duo
Pros
- Cream and powder formula housed in one palette
- Super pigmented
- Easy to blend
Cons
- A little more expensive
Now, onto the brand's bestseller. I don't think there are enough words in the universe to describe how much I love this blush. In fact, just before I left the house, my boyfriend (who never usually notices my makeup) even commented on how good it looked. I opted for the shade "Just Enough", a soft pink that added the most incredible pop of colour to my cheeks. I started with the cream blush formula, and it's so pigmented that I only needed the tiniest amount for a statement finish. However, I wanted to test the powder out, so I layered that over the top, and all I can say is wow. If you buy one thing from the brand, make it this.
4. Patrick Ta Major Glow Highlighter
Pros
- Comes with two different formulas depending on your desired finish
Cons
- The powder might be too shimmery for some
To add even more impact to the cheeks, I also applied the Major Glow Highlighter in shade "Baby", a soft pink shimmer. I have no complaints about this product. Both the cream and powder formulas deliver an out-of-this-world glow (the cream is more subtle than the powder), and it took my blush to a whole other level. I can't wait to try the other shades.
5. Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Duos
Pros
- Seriously shimmery formulas
- Good size for throwing in your handbag
Cons
- Some might prefer a more subtle finish
Seeing as I was going for a glowy makeup look, I thought it was only right that I opted for this shimmery shadow on the eyes. I went for the shade "Slow Burn" to help complement the pink tones in my makeup. I'd describe this palette as small but mighty. It delivers some seriously high-impact shimmer with one swipe, and paired with my favourite eyeshadow primer, it lasted surprisingly well on my oily eyelids.
6. Patrick Ta Major Dimension Precision Gel Liner
Pros
- Super pigmented
- Easy to apply
Cons
- Wish it had a finer nib for winged eyeliner looks
I'm usually a liquid eyeliner kind of person, but I was intrigued by this gel formula. Once again, after testing it out, it blew me away. It is so pigmented that it glides onto the lid in one simple swipe, delivering a finish that I thought could only be achieved with a liquid formula. That being said, whilst it was amazing at defining the lash line, I wish it had a finer nib for creating a winged effect.
7. Patrick Ta Monochrome Moment Precision Lip Crayon
Pros
- Creamy formula
- Long-wearing
Cons
- I found the applicator took a little while to get used to
- Would love to see more shades
This lip liner can take a little while to get used to, but once you nail the application, you're sure to become obsessed. In my opinion, it's not the right product for super-defined lips. Instead, it's perfect for that more blurred finish. It's super creamy, has a uniquely-shaped applicator and a long-wearing formula that doesn't budge.
8. Patrick Ta Major Glow Lip Shine
Pros
- Glass-like finish
- Feels comfortable to wear
Cons
- Would love to see more shades
- Not super long-lasting
Last but not least, let's talk lip gloss. In true Patrick Ta style, this adds a swipe of shimmery goodness to the lips. I used the shade "Is She Younger Than Me?" (obsessed with the name), a peachy pink with a pearlescent hue. It added a plump, glass-like finish, with a hydrating formula and balm-like texture (minus the dreaded stickiness).
