Boots may not be the first thing you think of when imagining summer footwear. Airy sandals are a much likelier warm-weather shoe choice, especially if you can get them on sale. Tall (but not so tall they’re over the knee), flat-soled boots were without a doubt one of the key silhouettes to come out of February fashion weeks. While you can go with a riding-boot style, many a stylish lady have been taking it a step further with chunkier soles or square toes that add a bit of a modern edge. As for how to style them, fashion girls have figured out that these tough, practical boots pair especially well with a sweet summer dress. A study in contrasts, if you will.
