I Shop for a Living—These Are the Pre-Fall Zara Items I'd Actually Buy
Today, for the first time all year, I said, "It literally feels like fall outside." Yes, it's only August 1, and I know I sound dramatic. Still, after the heat wave we've just had in NYC, 70-degree weather feels like a full-on seasonal shift, and I mean that earnestly.
Just a couple weeks ago, I wasn't ready for summer to end, but I'm suddenly wanting change. This in-between time—when summer's almost over but fall hasn't quite started—can make it hard to know how to shop. That's why I usually take an anti-trend approach, focusing on seasonless staples and transitional pieces I can wear across the months. Lately, though, I've been starting to browse for things that are specific to cooler weather too: trench coats, cashmere sweaters, tights, ballet flats, Mary Janes, loafers—the classics.
I scrolled through Zara's pre-fall items, and these are the pieces actually worth seeing, from midi dresses to turtlenecks.
