It's Our Job to Sort Through Trends—Here Are Our Favorites for Spring
Sponsor Content Created With Bloomingdale's
Winter weather is starting to feel like a distant memory now that spring is here (and along with it, bounds of beige and neon goodies). Identifying emerging trends from micro to macro is part of our job (and also a whole lot of fun), and today we’re pulling out some of our favorites for the warmer weather on the spring forecast.
For this, I enlisted the aid of Who What Wear EIC Kat Collings, the ultimate guru when it comes to identifying must-have items big and small. She showed us her favorite looks that incorporate spring’s top trends—including some you likely already know, as well as a couple you might not have considered. Without further adieu, I now present her three favorite looks (psst—all available at Bloomingdale’s). Sidenote: I’m very excited about these bags…
Neon not your thing? How about a slightly more subdued lemon-lime shade instead? Bold color combos like this chartreuse top with the pop of primary red are what S/S 19 is all about. Pair with a flowy handkerchief-hem floral skirt and nude mules for a bright Saturday afternoon spent sipping rosé.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Is there an off-duty spring moment that doesn’t call for a perfect white top and-jeans combo? We’ll wait. This season, denim is updated with a built-in belt, and the rise is on the higher side, while the staple white blouse takes on a vintage vibe via puff sleeves and delicate ruffles. Throw on a round straw bag and you’re basically a walking spring 2019 billboard (in the best way).
SHOP THE LOOK:
We know, we know: Florals aren’t the most revolutionary find for spring, but what we did notice is that this season, the buds are getting a little smaller and the colors are getting a bit more bold. To nail this effortless look, select a dress with a hemline that hits below the knee. This silhouette makes your ensemble feel street style ready while also pairing well with flat woven shoes and a basket bag (no such thing as too many woven accessories).
