Last night I was having a chat with a friend of mine. We were talking about designers, and she told me that she was ascending the ladder to the next level. To add to the dramatics, she was referring to upgrading her next handbag purchase. She plans on purchasing a Hermes bag next. Her ‘go-to’ bag is a Chanel Jumbo Flap Bag. She also owns a few more Chanel Flap bags including the PST, GST and she also has a 2.55 reissue.
This isn’t the first time I’ve heard references to certain handbags as levels. Apparently, there is a level between Chanel bags and Hermes bags. So I have a question: Do you ladies opt to buy Louis Vuitton because Chanel, Balenciaga, and Hermes are extremely pricey?
A popular Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag ranges from $600 to $800 USD. Meanwhile, a Balenciaga bag costs around $2,000 USD and a Chanel bag costs around $4,500 USD. A Hermes bag is the most expensive out of these brands, costing upwards of around $10,000 USD. So do you see how the bags can be referred to as being on levels?
What are your ladies’ thoughts about this? Do you buy LV due to the extreme prices of Hermes, Balenciaga, and Chanel?

Can’t afford either bag, but honestly, would not wear Chanel, Balenciaga and LV, because I find them ugly. The only one I like is a Hermes Birkin, a big one in a bright colour.
i love LV because durability, resist rain and environment better than my Chanel purse and I don’t need to worry that much about water marks or scrach. Is not about the price because there are some LV models with high prices too. Hermes is expensive bag but I just not feel in love with them style and the weight.
Obviousely, those people who had commented earlier has no experience in the luxury brand at all. After I read all the comments and I gutted that most people compare the bags by its brand rather than the quality. First of all, LVMH is the biggest luxury brand company in the entire industry and LV offer a wide selection of goods and price range where you can go in a LV shop and grab a canvas handbag for less than£600. Wherease, Hermes set its price higher to maintain its exclusivity and has limited seletion of goods. If you wish to compare a birkins one I would suggest a cappucine is a perfect match, however Hermes is more exclusive, but there is no much different in quality just the brands.
You should compare models LV has 10,000 dollar handbags too. This post is misleading

Ghis soeedy is canvas model not leather ıf you compare a regular size leather speedy you can not affırd also speedy is cheaper model you compare with other lv models . Lv is more expensive and balenciaga is nıt not same level eith lv bags . If you want to buy lv bag like this balenciaga city you have to pay much much more
Hi people great comments. I dont know much about bags . What i do know is lv is a top quality luggage company. And that beats everything for me. I am a quality freak. Lv lasts if hermes was 10 times more expensive but 1percent better quality or crazy design wise i would buy. But it simply isnt as good so why pay more
Have you used both Hermes and LV? I believe, especially with the decrease in quality from LV within the past couple of years, you would agree that hermes leather, and craftsmanship, is undeniably better.
