The Hermes Evelyne III Bag is not as famous as the Birkin and it doesn’t have the same price tag, but we are seeing an increase of fashionista’s and celebrities carrying this bag in their casual time. Why is that?
First, it’s the impeccable quality, we spotted Kate Walsh carrying the Evelyne III Bag in brown, totally overloading it and still… it didn’t break. I think that tells a lot about their Taurillon Clemence leather.
Then it’s the design, just like most of Hermes timeless bags, the Evelyne III is crafted rather simple and streamlined, with a long and strong shoulder strap. The large H, which represents the brand Hermes, is drawn on the front with a circle.
A reasonable price for a Hermes bag – if you need a shoulder bag, a messenger bag and you don’t mind paying a little bit more, you will get the quality you want. However, what we do recommend before making a buying decision, is to take a look at the Hermes Herbag Zip first, because it’s almost the same price range.

I was given a Hermes Evelyne Purse. I believe it is a III PM because it has an outside pocket and an inside pocket, along with an adjustable strap. The measurements for the PM style are the same. My question is… It has a Square J, and I can’t seem to find what year the Evelyne III PM was first made. The square J marking makes it a 2006 production date and I thought that was too old to be the III. Can you please give me the some information so I would be able to tell if it is authentic? I would also like to know an approximate resale value. I would be happy to give you more information, or send more photos of needed. Thank you so much for your time.

Thank you for the detail information. I just wondering, how come I bought one in the Hermes duty free store in SFO, the price is $3375.00 for Evelyne III PM. If the price is that cheap in Europe, I rather return it, buy it when we go to Europe this Summer. Is the price you listed up to date? Thanks!
Hi Cynthia, the price is not updated, this is the old price. The Hermes Evelyne III PM is selling for 2160 euro + VAT in Europe right now.
hi Cynthia, In UK, it is around 2280 or 2250 pounds now and if you are not from EU, you get around 12% tax back after.
I was just in the San Francisco Hermes store in Mid-August, the Evelyne III PM is still selling for $3,375 (with tax, it’ll be a little below $3,700). Thank goodness they didn’t have my color since my friend is in Norway right now and their price is NOK$21,000 (about US$2600); big difference in price. Hopefully they have my color in the next couple of months.

Hi Alex, I managed to score the Hermes Evelyne III in chocolate colour in GM size and the Garden Party Bag in Bamboo green in PM size. ( only one piece in each style and color). Both in Barcelona main store. Apparently stocks will come in every Monday but you need to go to the store the moment it opens as the bags are selling like hot cake. I was lucky I went there during lunch. I was actually looking for a Lindy but it was sold out in the morning, it was in blue jean. It is ok for me as it wasn’t the colour I was looking for . But I didn’t end up with bags only, I bot their scarves, Fourbi, Avalon Cushion and blanket. Fyi, I visited the main stores 3 times( one on the Thursday, 29 May 2014 my first day there, and 2x on Monday, June 2 when the stock arrived). There is another Hermes at El Corte Ingles, Av. Diagonal, 617 (Pza Maria Cristina), Hermes store is on the ground Floor. You may find a bit more luck there. Less crowd. There was a Herbag Zip in Bamboo Green with tan trimming in GM. I didn’t like the colour and also I have reach the quota for the bags. One passport, max 2 bags. However, I managed to buy Hermes belt in the blue I wanted.
Feb Rain, what a fabulous shopping spree! The SA must welcomed you in, did you also check for the Birkin? Perhaps they will sell you a Birkin because you bought so many items. But I like the Evelyne and Garden Party, they are very practical and stylish. Do you have a family picture of your items?
Hi Alex, how do I post the pics? I didn’t ask about the Birkin and didn’t think about it. I was pretty focus on what I wanted to buy. Yes, the SA did offer a cup of expresso and I did learn from them how to tie the scarves.
