There are nearly as many strollers to choose from as there are places to go while pushing one. Learn all about the different types of strollers to determine the best one—or ones—for your family.
Lightweight Stroller
Also called a travel stroller, a lightweight stroller is ideal for—you guessed it—travel. It s lighter than a standard stroller, easy to fold and compact when collapsed. Some lightweight strollers can even fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane. You may also be able to find the amenities of a standard stroller in a lightweight stroller, like a large canopy, storage space, cupholders and a tray.
Double Stroller
If you re expecting twins or another addition to your family, a double stroller is the ideal solution. There are several types to fit different needs. A side-by-side stroller provides the same amount of arm and leg room to both children and allows them to easily see each other and their surroundings. A tandem or inline stroller features two seats placed one in front of the other and is about the same width as a standard stroller. A modular or convertible stroller can be reconfigured or added onto to accommodate a second child—for example, a bassinet attachment can be added to an upright stroller to comfortably transport both an infant and a toddler.
