Untitled (PPR490) - Original Colorful Green Tone Abstract Mixed Media Artwork
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Max Manning is a Houston-based painter whose practice he describes as “algorithmic abstraction”, studio-built systems that he deliberately disrupts to create compositions where loosely figurative fragments, patterns, and color fields collide. Working in series, Manning sets up rule-driven visual frameworks such as grids, repeated motifs, cut-outs, and layered shapes, and then interrupts them through shifts in palette, gesture, and scale. The result is a retro-contemporary language: paintings that acknowledge a world shaped by data and screens while insisting on the tactility, stillness, and breath of paint. • One-of-a-kind abstract artwork on paper measuring 14 inches high by 10 inches wide • Artwork is not framed • Signed by the artist on the back • Includes certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery • Convenient local Los Angeles delivery • Affordable Continental U.S. and international shipping available Across his practice, Manning has maintained a clear studio ethos: to “paint through the questions” of life lived alongside algorithms. Instead of reproducing digital aesthetics, he uses rule sets to destabilize them—allowing glitches, misalignments, and pauses to surface. The work’s visual “systems” act less like predictive code and more like open, humanized structures where attention can rest. This stance has resonated with curators and collectors attuned to abstraction’s current arc: grounded in art-historical form, responsive to contemporary cognition, and committed to the slow time of looking. Manning earned a BFA in Two-Dimensional Studies from Bowling Green State University (2011) and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati (2014). His work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and abroad and gained early institutional and critical attention through selection for the 2017 Texas Biennial, curated by Leslie Moody Castro, with press coverage in Texas arts media. Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Max Manning's original artworks since 2025. The gallery has been a 1stdibs partner since 2014 with consistently excellent reviews from clients worldwide. The gallery exhibits a large selection of affordable original artworks from established and emerging international artists with diverse backgrounds at high standards. The Great (Unknown Bust)
Located in Brooklyn, NY
This striking photograph captures the timeless essence of a Roman marble bust, portraying a handsome male leader with thoughtful details. The subject, seemingly untouched by the passage of centuries, emerges from the stone with a head of naturally falling curly hair. The face, in profile, emanates strength and resilience as the leader gazes steadfastly into the distance. Symbolic of the Roman Empire's grandeur, the bust stands as a testament to the strength and authority that characterized that ancient civilization. As the Roman Empire eventually faced the challenges leading to its fall, this marble bust endures as a silent witness to the ebb and flow of history. Marble, known for its enduring nature, further enhances the longevity of this artistic documentation. The photograph captures not just a static representation of a bygone era but a dynamic convergence of time, where the resilience of the stone mirrors the enduring legacy of the Roman Empire. This work is a photographic digital print on plexiglass cut to the form of the bust. Fidel Santos...

BLUE JAY WAY
Located in New York, NY
BLUE JAY WAY, 2012 ink and graphite on Arches cold press paper 44.5 x 75 inches / 1130 x 1905 mm  unframed Christina McPhee’s expansive abstract paintings, drawings, photographs, and videos test or query how can we know, and who is we? Moving from within a matrix of measurement, observation and contingent effects, her work resists characterization as product, and continually accesses fields outside itself. For her, process equals trial. Her work emulates potential forms of life, in various systems and territories, from a perspective of the non-self– a world beyond identity. McPhee’s dynamic, performative, physical engagement with materials, in both her analogue and digital works, is a seduction into surface-skidding calligraphic gestures and mark-making. The tactics of living are in subterfuge, like the ‘dazzle ships...

Towards your Heart Large scale Photo. Triptych Ocean, Sea, Blue, Beach Cottage
Located in Penzance, GB
'Towards Your Heart' Limited edition archival photographic triptych. Unframed, hand signed and numbered (Edition number 3 of 25) _________________ It is not the size Nor power from which you fly But towards your heart The wild Atlantic explodes in raw abandon, given scale in this daring dance by the graceful flight of the sea bird. Sophia's poetic photographs are an exploration of the balance in all things: in the sensual interplay of light and shadow; in wild raw energy and serene stillness; in chaos and harmony; in the enduring and the effervescent. They are a contemplation of the awareness that everything in existence is temporary, they speak of the ephemeral nature of all things. Moments, feelings, experiences cherished and appreciated in their impermanence, for that is where the beauty comes from. 'I work in a balancing act of control and freedom; of discipline and guidance, whilst simultaneously relinquishing all authority and throwing the odds to the winds, to chance encounters and the unexpected'.
