"Balcony World" is a black & white photograph on Etching Rag archival paper. It's a signed Edition of 20, available in sizes 16x24, 11x17 and 8x12 inches. It is a simple but complex composition (if that's possible), and typical of the artist there are only a few elements at play but they are powerfully at play. The hard line geometry of the rows of balconies and their shadows – their arrangement causes slippage in our viewing. They seem to point down but rise up. And inverting the perspective slightly, we're looking at rows of dead-end brick walls. The shadows now a ground. Shooting on the streets of New York, looking up and looking for often-missed city/sky collisions, Bob Krasner...
