Francois "Fanch" Ledan (b. 1949) is noted for colorful scenes of his native Brittany. In 1968 he abandoned his studies in commercial design for full-time studies in painting and fine art. Since then he has had numerous one-person shows in Europe, North America and South America.

About the artist:
Born in Washington state, Earl Biss became a well-known Native American artist. He was raised by his grandmother on the Crow reservation in Montana and earned a scholarship to the Institute of American Indian Art in Santa Fe where he studied jewelry design. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute and then traveled widely in Europe where he was heavily influenced by the impressionist style of Monet and other European artists.
His paintings have a dream-like, abstract quality with Indian figures merging with the landscape. He worked on numerous paintings, sometimes as many as twenty, simultaneously. On October 18, 1998, he died from a stroke while in his studio painting.
• 1965 - 1966 Studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Was a member of the inaugural class. The IAIA was founded in 1962.

Rosie Emerson, born in 1981, is a contemporary artist working almost exclusively on representing the female form. Emerson’s figures draw reference from archetypes old and new, from Artemis to the modern day super model, each solitary figure, an allegory of her own fantasy. Interested in surface, the interplay between photography and painting. Emerson’s works are playful constructs; Photography is used, not as a device for capturing reality but for creating romanticised optical illusions.
Inspired by her love of theatre, performance, shrines and rituals, she uses lighting, costume, set and prop making, alongside printmaking and painting to create other worldly one off pieces. This is a Trial Proof that Robert Cottingham inscribed, annotated and gifted to Bryan Konefsky, his longtime studio assistant in both Newtown, CT and Santa Fe New Mexico. Only one other example - a variant - of this early print, exists and is in the collection of the Smithsonian. Due to the untimely death of printer Chip Elwell in October of 1986, only two proofs in the woodcut medium were pulled: the present work, which Cottingham gifted to his longtime studio assistant, and the one at the Smithsonian. Furthermore and in another interesting turn of events, Elwell's studio was burglarized shortly after his death and among the items stolen were the original wood blocks for DON'T WALK. This is an historic work; and the only one available on the market.

About the Artist: Banksy (British, born 1974) is a contemporary street artist and activist who, despite his international fame, has maintained an anonymous identity. The image size is 19.5 x 23.5 inches, framed size is 26.75 x 30 inches. The artwork is in excellent condition, the frame is slightly damaged at the top, and will be replaced by a new similar black frame when sold. This will bring the over all condition to excellent.
About the artist:
Although formally trained with a MFA in painting, Rickey Jewell Hohimer has used the styles of Van Gogh and Gaughin to reach for the spontaneity and simplicity of today's folk art. Hohimer creates figures which are not photos of reality; they are romantically stylized to encourage straightforward emotional responses both to the colorful images and to the situations in which they find themselves. Each of Hohimer's paintings lays out a basic story line to which viewers add their own details. "I want the viewer to become personally involved. My paintings offer a change from those which encourage extensive intellectualizing about what the artist is trying to convey. I want viewers to smile -- to enjoy the whimsical nature of what they are experiencing -- to feel it, not to analyze it!. His jazz paintings are stories on canvas of inspired musicians spontaneously making music of the moment. Life in the jazz age is clubs and nightlife beckoning to musicians to produce jazz art...
