Textile artist, Micheline Beauchemin (1929-2009) was born in Longqueuil, Quebec, Canada. She has created a repertory of various works which includes theatre curtains, tapestries, wall hangings, embroidery murals, flexible walls, stained glass works, scale models, collages, toys, costumes and illustrations. Naomi Press is a female abstract sculptor, who was one of the very few women working in large scale with steel in the second half of the 20th Century. Press’s art was admired by a well known and respected dealer André Emmerich as well as renowned art critic Clement Greenberg, with whom Press developed a friendship. Greenberg, arguably one of the most influential critics in the second half of the 20th Century, praised her sculptures and encouraged her to work in abstraction. Curators Robert Metzger and Karen Wilkin also wrote about her work. The eminent art historian Edward Lucie-Smith curated her 2011 retrospective in London. Works of Naomi Press are on par with such artists as Beverly Pepper, Claire Falkenstein and Louise Nevlson. Her creations have an imposing presence due to their masterful execution and aesthetic beauty.
Naomi Press was born in Poland and later lived in South Africa, England, and USA. This unique blend of cultures informs her art. Ballet is another significant influence in her life and practice. Gun Gordillo was born in Lund, Sweden. Contemporary Scandinavian Artist. Her fluency with the material, which comes so natural to Gun Gordillo, makes her works unusually suited to function in many different context in a public milieu. Dolerite, lead, copper, and zinc plate in combination with contemporary fragile art materials such as glass, plexiglass and, above all, neon light makes her works stand out among those which have been created with light as the basic architecture of their artistic expression. There is a decidedly personal angle to her way of dealing with neon light which gives it a poetic dimension in marked contrast to the harsh stridency of advertising signs.
Gordillo's work has been shown at several major solo exhibitions, most recently in 2015 at the famous French galerie denise rené, Paris. She has worked with the legendary gallerist Denise Rene for more then 30 years. She has also participated many group exhibitions including "The spirit of white" at Galerie Beyeler, Basel in 2004 and most recently "Néon, who's afraid of red, yellow and blue?" at la Maison Rouge, Paris in 2012. She has also been invited to create several major installations at world famous companies and public sites in cities like Basel, Paris, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Gordillo today lives and work in Copenhagen, Denmark after spending many years living and working in Paris, France.
Her work straddles the lines of design and sculpture with her Neon and Fluorescent Light installations reminiscent of the California Light & Space artists such as Larry Bell, Robert Irwin, Bruce Nauman, James Turrell as well as Dan Flavin.

Using bone as the central image Elsbeth has assembled an optical and visual experience. One view is the magnification and juxtaposition of the floating effect of the curvature in the stainless steel background; stand back and it's a hologram effect. The first image shows clearly the hologram effect available to the eye of the viewer.
From a review of her show of box constructions in Providence, Rhode Island: "Viewing her box constructions is a lot like a walk in the moonlight. What we know, or think, to be true in the hard brightness of daytime reality dissolves into an amorphous space of multiple possibilities and perspectives."
Born in Purdys, New York, Elspeth Halvorsen is the daughter, granddaughter, and mother of professional artists. She has studied at prestigious academic and artistic institutions includingthe New School for Social Research, the Art Students League, and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. In 1955, she moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts, establishing her home and studio in the former residence of Mark Rothko. Provincetown not only remains her home but also acts as a personal, social, and artistic source of inspiration for her work.
