A folding crocodile leather ladies purse, wallet, sewing kit with silver-gilt mounts and clip fastening, hallmarked London, 1885 with makers maker FP in a rectangular cartouche. Most probably Frederic Purnell who registered this mark Feb 1876, his earlier mark of an oval cartouche was registered Feb 1868. A rather lovely little sewing purse with compartments for you sewing needles, two material leaves for safety pins and four long thin compartments (possibly for thread).
