This one in a series of "windshield paintings"is painterly, brushy, a little bit textured, and slightly raised, particularly for the drops. Painted on gallery wrapped linen, on 1 1/2 inch deep stretchers. The edges are hand painted, providing a finished look, suitable for framing, or beautiful left as is. A heavy downpour smashes against the windshield distorting the scene ahead. Part of the "windshield series" this painting emphasizes some of the linear aspects of rain and water, as well as motion. Heavy rain experienced from a place of comfort. My windshield paintings aim to capture these fleeting and intimate moments in time and reveal the serene center that can arise in the midst of natures turbulence.
