Valeria Vilar received her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires in 2009. In 2011, Vilar was selected to be part of the Artist Program of the University of Torcuato Di Tella, which was led by the artist Jorge Macchi. In an exploration of abandoned empty spaces, Zargón portrays an exhaustion of hope as she incorporates traces of manufacturing artifacts from the Industrial era. Through the medium of photography and painting, Zargón creates a semantic configuration of reality as she reflects on the relationship between production, work, and social progress to greater understand the present.
