Huge and rare Karl Springer style black colored / coloured square Murano glass bowl, dish or ashtray with white 'a Scavo' finish by Seguso Vetri d'Arte Murano, Italy, circa 1980s. Elegant and simplistic in form and showing extraordinary workmanship with the use of the 'Scavo' technique to replicate to look and feel of ancient Roman archeological glass. This technique was achieved by throwing a mixture of. chemical powders on the hot glass whilst on the melt.
