Nido, Flush Mount Brass and Glass Chandelier 8 Arms, Low Ceiling Best, Free Ship
By Silvio Piattelli, Stilnovo
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
This chandelier is specifically designed for low ceilings, with a height of only 13 inches (32 cm). The arms and shade holders are made of brass, while the central part is made of metal to hold the leverage. The glass spheres have a diameter of almost 5 inches (12 cm), and the angled arms of different lengths recreate the asymmetry found in the 1950s creations by renowned designers such as Angelo Lelii and Gio Ponti. Our design plays with the arms to create a beautiful combination. The chandelier hosts eight E12/E14 bulbs, with a maximum wattage of 480 watts. The shades are made of thick brass and beautifully finished by hand to resemble the texture of drum cymbals...

Sistema Chandelier, Piattelli Design, Brushed Nickel and Glass, 6-Shade
By Silvio Piattelli
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
Brass Sistema chandelier, made with a nickel plated finish lightly brushed. This chandelier brings the popular chrome like finish to the Sistema and Sistema solare group. I'm using nickel finish because it's harder and the light brushing gives more dept to the finish. It also keeps the finish uniform in case of use, considering this chandelier has moving parts. Last nickel plating is a bit more warm than chrome. This chandelier uses an ingenious rotating stem structure and features a shallow drum-shaped shade at the end of each arm. The chandelier arms are designed with two lengths so that each can be staggered at different angles. They work well in any space and suit both regular and low-ceilinged rooms wonderfully. This is the medium Sistema chandelier, with 3 arms and 6 shades. Ideal for an oval or long dining table. It works well also over an island. The result is uniform lighting from above the dining table. There is nothing else like this on the market. There are beautiful chandeliers available, but they always tend to give out too much light in the center and too little at either side. Each shade has two LED strips that can be lit separately. In this way you can have either a regular light or a stronger light depending on how you need to use the chandelier. The LEDs are top quality with a CRI of over 80. This ensures that the natural color of food and people can be seen perfectly. The LEDs are on a 24V direct current feed, so there is no flickering. The arms can rotate 180 degrees, for many possible combinations. See the drawing for the two regular positions. The chandelier can also be rotated when it is lit. The shades can be rotated on the arm axis to meet any lighting needs in a living room (paintings, bookshelves etc.). The shades have neutral white glass fixtures. Please see the photos. On the back there is a smaller Lucite opening for giving ambient light. This listing shows measurements for a dining table and the smallest drop. A change of drop is complimentary. Please see the last image for all sizes and ask for high resolution technical drawings if you need them. Please see the drawing to get an idea of sizes for the different chandeliers...

Quadriennale 4 Arms Brass Chandelier, Twin Shades, Contrappeso, 4 Hues of Blue
By Silvio Piattelli
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
The chandelier introduces a unique and exclusive design aspect through the implementation of four different hues of blue on each shade. These color variations create a delicate contrast between each arm, imparting a modern flair to the overall aesthetic. This chandelier features four counterbalanced arms that can be moved up and down and also slightly lateral movement. With its pivoting shades, this chandelier effortlessly distributes light throughout the room. The upper shades contribute to ambient lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the lower shades provide task and direct lighting. Each arm has a counterweight in the same color of the opposite shade. There are infinitive positions for this chandelier and the crossing design of the arms are creating a distinctive appeal. The shades themselves are meticulously crafted from spun aluminum and the distinctive line of small holes preserves the authentic mid-century aesthetic. Each shade consists of two separate cones, with a candelabra socket on the smaller cone and a regular socket on the larger lower dome-shaped shade. The chandelier's arms and body are in solid brass lightly polished yet intentionally left unprotected to allow the natural patina to develop over time. The term "Quadriennale '' is a play on words. It originated from Angelo Lelii's "Triennale chandelier...

Mars Sistema Solare Chandelier, Piattelli Design, Red Onyx and Brass, 8-shade
By Silvio Piattelli
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
Luxury chandelier, made from thinly-cut pieces of exquisite red-veined translucent onyx. Ideal to be hung over a table, with versatile configurations. This chandelier is truly spectacular, and uses onyx with dramatic red veining. While the red onyx gives a beautiful, sculptural look to the chandelier, it does reduce light output a little, so most of the light comes from the upper hole. This makes it ideal for ambient light or as a sculptural piece. This unique version is made with patina brass. Ivory onyx comes from Middle Eastern quarries and has a unique veining. This translucent stone is carefully worked in Italy, and was chosen because of its combination of interesting patterns, high translucency, and the way it makes the light output look warmer. Our onyx supplier has worked in many high-end architectural projects, and these same materials have been used at the Armani hotel in Milan. When he was shown the chandelier designs, he rose to the challenge and adapted his tooling to make us perfect round discs. He worked hard to find exactly the right thickness that would keep the depth of the texture. It could not be too thick, otherwise it would lose transparency. And too thin, it would look like it was printed. The result is stunning. The combination of carefully-worked translucent stone and brass works perfectly, and the use of the ingenious Orbitale structure allows the geometry of the chandelier to be played with, and it can be configured in several ways. There is nothing else like this on the market. The technical data are the same of the equivalent Sistema chandelier with the same number of shades. The Sistema collection uses a clever rotating stem structure and features a shallow drum-shaped shade at the end of each arm. The chandelier arms are designed with two lengths so that each can be staggered at different angles. They work well in any space and suit both regular and low-ceilinged rooms wonderfully. The 8-shade version is ideal to be hung over a long rectangular table. Please see the drawing to get an idea of sizes for the different chandeliers. On the upper side of each disc there is a smaller opening to provide ambient light. Top-quality LEDs with over 80 CRI, meaning that the lighting does not alter the color of food and people. The LEDs are on a 24V direct current feed, so there is no flickering. The arms can be rotated 180 degrees to configure various combinations. As well as two rows of evenly-spaced lights over a dining table, a regular 8-shade star or 4-shade star (see photos) are possible, as well as creative sculptural shapes. The arms can be rotated even when the chandelier is lit. The shades can also be rotated on the arm axis to meet any lighting needs in a living room (paintings, bookshelves etc.). This listing shows the smallest drop. A change of drop is complimentary. Silvio Piattelli copyright and design. Specifications (Note: The Sistema chandelier has glass shades, while Sistema Solare...

Sistema Solare, Luxury Ivory Onyx and Brass 8 Rotating Orbitale Arms Chandelier
By Bruno Gatta, Silvio Piattelli, Stilnovo

Luxury chandelier, made from thin pieces of translucent onyx. Ideal to be hung over a dining table, with versatile configurations. Featured on Netflix series Designing Miami, 1st episode! There is nothing else like this on the market. Ivory onyx comes from Middle Eastern quarries and has a unique veining. This translucent stone is carefully worked in Italy, and was chosen because of its combination of interesting patterns, high translucency, and the way it makes the light output look warmer. Orbitale Brass Chandelier 3 Rotating Balanced Arms, Ivory Black Twin Shades
By Stilnovo, Arteluce, Silvio Piattelli
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
Orbitale 3 arms frame using the twin shade. Thanks to a customer who had the articulated sconces and wanted this version with black and ivory shades. It's a beautiful combination of colors on the shades with the light noisette patina on the brass. I designed this for being placed above a kitchen island where it's at the best of use, having task light and movable arms and shades. It would be great also over a counter, a dining table and a living room. Arms are balanced with a heavy cast brass sphere and are rotating on the stem in an orbital movement. In order to get perfect balancing the sphere is filled with sand to reach the point of no leverage. Shades are in hand spun aluminum, lacquered with ivory powder paint with eggshell semi matte finish. Black is matte as that is the best with brass. Shades are connected to the arm with a pivot joint to give different possibilities of light orientation. Each shade carries two bulbs. The larger carries...

Sistema Chandelier by Piattelli Design, 4-shade
By Stilnovo, Silvio Piattelli, Bruno Gatta
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
This chandelier uses an ingenious rotating stem structure and features a shallow drum-shaped shade at the end of each arm. They work well in any space and suit both regular and low-ceilinged rooms wonderfully. The result is uniform lighting from above the dining table. There is nothing else like this on the market. There are beautiful chandeliers available, but they always tend to give out too much light in the center and too little on either side. This is the smallest Sistema chandelier, with 2 arms and 4 shades. Ideal for a round or square dining table. It also works well over an island. Each shade has two LED strips that can be lit separately. In this way you can have either a regular light or a stronger light depending on how you need to use the chandelier. The LEDs are top quality with a CRI of over 80. This ensures that the natural color of food and people can be seen perfectly. See the next to last photo, where there is some fruit and a color chart below the chandelier. The chandelier has the ingenious brass finishes of the orbitale collection. This listing shows measurements for a dining table and the smallest drop. A change of drop is complimentary. Please see the last image for all sizes and ask for high resolution technical drawings if you need them.

Barovier et Toso Attributed, 14 Pulegoso Leaves Reticello Bowl, 1940s, Murano
By Barovier&Toso
Located in Tavarnelle val di Pesa, Florence
Sculptural chandelier with a unique combination of reticello and Pulegoso finis. The reticello bowl what indicates the decade. It's made by overlapping two filigree bowls spiralizer in opposite directions. Before Carlo Scarpa and Dino Martens works in the 1940s, reticello was made without bubbles in the middle of each square of clear glass resulting by the nesting. It's simply because it was considered a flaw to see the bubbles. On the next decade, the overlapping was done on the Piera as the bubble trapped by the canes was then considered a plus. The 14 leaves have a central striped clear stem and the feathers are made in Pulegoso. My friend Sergio Rossi, master of Murano, when he saw the picture said "the times when Pulegoso was made in the Crucible". Full batch of Pulegoso was made by Barovier for the lighting and Venini or Seguso for accessories. The Pulegoso finish, from puleghe (chips, the chemical dust that is added to create an infinitive number of bubbles inside the glass mass) is a signature of the Barovier chandelier. Reticello has white filigree...
