This is Seto ware.
Seto is a kiln with a long history located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan (Seto kilns are marked with red circles on the map). It is said to have originated around the 13th century.
In Japan, items from this period of Seto ware are referred to as "Ko-Seto." "Ko" means "old."
This particular item is Ko-Seto, which was fired around the 13th century.
One of the distinguishing features of Ko-Seto, as compared to other kilns, is the presence of glaze. While other kilns produced mostly unglazed pottery, Ko-Seto was covered with ash glaze, giving it a yellowish-green or pale emerald-green color.
In the early Kamakura period (13th century), when Ko-Seto production began, there was increased demand from temples in Kamakura (the capital city of the time, in present-day Kanagawa Prefecture) and the Tokai region for roof tiles, Buddhist ritual objects, and burial urns...

A beautiful "offering spiritual vessel" from the Yunnan province region in the ancient China. This rare vessel was created in red bronze during the Song Dynasty period. between 960/1279 AD.
This is one of the most unusual forms of red bronze jar. A large vessel, the sides are virtually perpendicular to the base. The stepped lid design is also among the more rare types. The predominant lid design among the Yunnan offering bronzes is the "wheel" pattern, with a few lids having the lotus design. This is also one of the few bronzes displaying clear riveting of a two-part vessel body, with the original twisted elements

Originating from the Trowulan region in East Java, this handmaiden figure is documented on page 161 as figure number 28 in the Majapahit catalog and stands as a rare example of terracotta craftsmanship from this ancient civilization. The piece has been carefully studied and authenticated by Professor Agus Aris Munandar, a distinguished scholar in Indonesian archaeology.
Professor Munandar, born in 1959, is currently the professor of Indonesian Archaeology at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta. His extensive research focuses on Hindu-Buddhist archaeology, iconography, and the ancient history of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. He served as a member of the Indonesian team of experts at National Cultural Heritage from 2015 to 2018 and previously held the role of Head of Institute and Research at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Indonesia. Now the head of the Department of Archaeology at the University of Indonesia, Professor Munandar has authored numerous articles and 19 books, many of which delve into Majapahit culture and artifacts, solidifying his reputation as a leading scholar in the field.

The Trowulan archaeological site, approximately 100 square kilometres, located in the Mojokerto Regency is believed to contain the remains of what was once the capital city of the Majapahit Empire, featured by 14th century poet Mpu Prapanca in his poem Nagarakretagama. Tombs of the Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) were typically furnished with model figures and other objects believed to be necessary for a safe journey to the afterlife. Historical records indicate that when important military officials died, the imperial Han court would give them elaborate funerals, including a full military cortege. It is likely that this figure of a horse and rider was originally part of a model funerary retinue comprised of soldiers and cavalrymen that would have been placed in such a tomb.
Beautifully proportioned Han dynasty polychrome painted terracotta horse and rider. The warrior is decorated with a painted orange and black tunic. A quiver is visible attached to his back. He would have originally held a wooden bow in between his hands that has rotted away over the centuries. He is riding a beautifully sculpted white horse.

The term "Fitzhugh" refers to a type of Chinese export porcelain produced primarily between 1780 and 1840, featuring blue and white designs. It originated with three members of two generations of the Fitzhugh family. Members of this family held important positions as ship captains and even as directors in the British East India Company. Within this company, high-ranking officials were allowed to engage in private trade. Between 1704 and the 1790s, porcelain pieces bearing this pattern were shipped to England.
The design usually includes a central medallion, although it is occasionally replaced by a coat of arms or monogram. The medallion is surrounded by four groupings of flowers representing the four seasons—peony for spring; lotus for summer; chrysanthemum for autumn; and prunus for winter—and symbols that typically represent the four virtues of the Chinese scholar: music, painting, logical thinking, and calligraphy.
