This truly unique travel alarm clock is still fitted with its original leather box. The original case is done in gilded brass and it still has the original finish on it. The gilding was called Mercury Fire Gilding and was done using real mercury. In my 20's I actually traveled with this little jewel and used it as my alarm clock. It is really dependable and keeps dependable time. The entire clock and case are hand made in Switzerland about 170 years ago. It is remarkable that this clock can still be used.
