The Ormolu dome top finial covers complete with their internal bronze linings. An early ormolu and Sienna Marble Watch stand is included. Condition: Good condition, original good surface patination, small repair to corner of marble base, see image. Baise underneath has been replaced, nicely done. The hinged lid is banded in satinwood, fabulously hand-painted and varnished with a large central circular conch shell. The front area has similar painted decorations; all places are decorated with satinwood stringing. Condition: Excellent condition with nice patination and no losses. A lock is present, and a later key is also current but does not activate the lock. We think the woven black fabric inside the cover has been added later; it is nicely done.
