The figurine still retains an intact original "Archimede Seguso - Murano - Made In Italy" label underneath. Nicely detailed piece, giving it great character. It has a little tail as well. Very impressive, hand made and mouth blown in Italy, Murano art glass sommerso figure or sculpture of a dolphin in a very vibrant cobalt blue color with fading green accents, clear fin and head. The word "sommerso" means submerged which involves submerging a blown glass article in a crystal clear molten glass of a different color. This technique was started in the 1930's by Carlo Scarpa.
