A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three-piece tea set in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our silver teaware collection.
This fine antique Victorian sterling silver three-piece tea service consists of a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug / creamer.
Each piece has a plain circular compressed form onto a plain circular collet foot.
The lower portion of each item is embellished with embossed fluted decoration in the Queen Anne style.
The surface of the upper portion of each piece is plain with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border to the waisted flared rim.
The teapot is fitted with a flush hinged domed hallmarked cover, which also features fluted decoration; the flush hinge indicates the Fine quality of this service.
The cover is surmounted by the original carved circular fluted painted wood and sterling silver finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut.
This fine antique teapot is fitted with a swan necked spout ornamented with an impressive embossed singular leaf design to the underside.
The teapot retains the original C-shape carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.
The cream jug and sugar bowl have plain ribbed angular sterling silver handles.

Antique hand painted and hand decorated small tureen by Haviland in the Fleurs Parisiennes pattern on Cannele blank measures 3.1" and 8.5" with 5.4" opening. The back-marks on the bottom are H&C*/Depose underglaze mark, dating back to 1887, and the circular Haviland Limoges decorator/overglaze mark (mark g, according to Haviland's Collectors International Foundation reference sheet) in brown (color indicates premium decor pieces on Haviland porcelain made in that period), dating back to 1879-1889.
Cannele blank ("fluted"), influenced by traditional Japanese bowl shape called "kaki" or "chrysanthemum", was one of the new blanks created in 1880-1890s by Haviland's artists at the peak of Japonisme movement, after European artists and artisans become exposed to Japanese art. An incredible and monumental Italian late 19/early 20th century Murano glass and polychrome multi-tier 16 arm chandelier. This is truly a magnificent chandelier, produced by the greatest Italian glass manufacturer in the world. With a bulbous central stem supporting multiple tiers of lights, decorated throughout with polychrome colored Glass flower heads and foliage. The arms are of swirling design with pink polychrome Murano glass bobeche's and pink polychrome glass lined mid-sections. Hanging from the base are flower-bud bells which are rounded with pink polychrome glass petal tops.

This round and colorful antique planter was created in “Faïencerie de Gien," France, circa 1890. The large porcelain flower pot has intertwined snake handles, and features traditional Greek style motifs throughout. The sculptural, ceramic vase is decorated with hand painted traditional allegory motifs, including the Horn of plenty and lambrequin mantling decor. The elegant porcelain piece is in excellent condition with rich painted colors in the blue, white and yellow palette inside and out. Stamped Gien France underfoot for further authentication.
The Faïencerie de Gien is a ceramic factory in the Loire Valley, founded in 1821 by Thomas Edme Hulm. Amongst the many faience manufacturers in the 19th century, the reputation of Gien is equal to those of the factories of Creil, Longwy or Sarreguemines.
