This is an exceptional pair of antique English silver plated wine coolers by the renowned silversmith Hawksworth, Eyre & Co of Sheffield, circa 1870 in date. The wine coolers stand on circular pedestal bases with decorative Faustian masque handles and bodies which are masterfully embellished with grape vine decoration. Each cooler is fitted with a removable lid and liner and the lids are engraved with crests of a bull. Add some classic elegance to your home with this lovely decorative pair of coolers. Condition: In excellent condition. As antique items, the coolers show minor signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, they display beautifully. SILVER WEIGHT: 27.51 OZ 780 GRAMS !! ____________________________________________________________ Excellently manufactured nicest quite heavy bowl made of massive silver, with two handles ( = highest manufacturing quality !) : The bowl can be used as cooler for champagne or white wine where ice cubes have to be put into. - This elegant silver item has round base / the cooler is abundantly decorated - its surface is worked in finest manner.
