In Greek mythology, Nepenthes is a magical substance that quells all sorrows.
NEPENTHES is inspired by the carnivorous plant Nepenthaceae, named after this mythical, soporific potion. The flamboyant Nepenthaceae seduce their prey with enticing interiors, sweet scents and sugary nectar.
NEPENTHES expresses these dangerous but pleasurable properties through a sculptural contrast between the hard geometry of solid brass tendrils and the glowing delicacy of amorphous hand blown glass.
