A rare one-of-a-kind pair of large rustic antique European hand carved stripped and scraped wood Santo church altar figures.
18th/early 19th century, primitive hand-crafted construction, finely detailed and sculpted, depicting Saint Francis of Assisi with arm raised and Madonna with her hands folded in prayer, stripped bare wood with section of original heavily worn distressed chippy paint finish adding to the overall antique character and charm!
