From the collection of visual artist Lewis Stein, NYC, two late 20th c., embroidered Suzani style textiles, probably Uzbekistan, each with colorful embroidered floral design, the larger example with embroidered text and yellow fringe. Dimensions: 63"h x 92"w (larger), 74"l x 48.5"w (smaller) Condition: Good/Fair, the larger example with some handwritten unfinished text that was never embroidered, some minor marks, snags, and creases, the smaller example pieced together Provenance: The Collection of visual artist Lewis Stein, NYC Literature: Artist Lewis Stein (1945-2022) was an original SOHO pioneer working and collecting from his Broome Street loft over a five decade career.
