It has been created from an up-cycled, recycled luxury fabric, used with the intentions of promoting a more eco-friendly environment by using already existing materials. We both celebrate and cherish the past and take care with rare and precious vintage and antique materials. Through layers of carefully added backing the delicate fabric has been fortified for longevity and thus preserved. (The original designer/brand has been fully credited below) Description: Custom-made one-of-a-kind pair of luxury cushions (pillows) created from an exquisite ‘vintage collection’ silk Echo fashion scarf in a peachy pink color with stylized Classic shell design. A very delicate silk in perfect unused condition and beautifully soft to the touch. From a vintage designer boutique in Palm Beach, Florida. In 1923 Americans Edgar & Theresa Hyman founded ‘Echo’ scarves on their wedding day, naming the company by using his initials. The business grew and was strong enough by 1929 to survive the Depression. Echo was one of the most prominent and prolific manufacturers of women’s patriotic scarves during wartime. They described the wartime culture and encourage optimism through propaganda, many displaying instructional directions. The scarves in this period used nylon and other non-essential fabric. Interestingly in 1984, ‘Echo’ became the sole licensee for Polo/Ralph Lauren scarf...
