Percival Lafer MP-116 Modular Lounge Chair, Brazil 1970s Rare Set of 4 available
By De Sede, Sergio Rodrigues, Percival Lafer
Located in Chattanooga, TN
An exceptional and increasingly scarce example of the Percival Lafer MP-116 modular lounge system, produced in Brazil in the 1970s and offered here as an individual seating unit. A total of four matching modules are available, an extremely rare occurrence for this model. Sets of this size, in this level of preservation, almost never reach the market. The MP-116 represents one of Lafer’s most sculptural and architecturally ambitious seating designs, defined by its distinctive pillow-block construction, deeply gathered leather upholstery, and the refined engineering that characterizes his most collectible work. Each module is crafted from four generously padded, individually upholstered leather blocks that create the sensuous, soft geometry that has made the MP-116 one of the most coveted designs of Lafer’s career. Upholstered in a rich, dark-chocolate leather, the cushions retain their fullness and tactile depth, presenting in very good original condition with the kind of surface character and luster that collectors seek. The frames are executed in solid Brazilian Jatobá hardwood, a dense, high-value tropical species noted for its strength and warm, glowing tonality. The timber displays exceptional grain clarity and remains in outstanding condition, underscoring the longevity and craftsmanship of this early production. The MP-116 was conceived as a genuinely forward-thinking modular system—far more sophisticated than most mid-century modular seating. A single unit makes a striking lounge chair with its sculptural massing and enveloping comfort, while multiple units can be combined into expansive sofas, balanced loveseats, long chaises, or asymmetrical compositions suited to contemporary architectural interiors. The ability to acquire four identical modules offers a level of design freedom, visual coherence, and spatial flexibility that is virtually impossible to source today. For designers and collectors working at a high level, this is an opportunity to build a complete, historically correct MP-116 suite. This listing is for one MP-116 lounge seat, though up to four matching pieces are available. The set comes directly from the original owner and is accompanied by photocopies of the 1973 Brazil Contempo...

Exclusive Amethyst Geode Portal with a Rare Crown Druzy Formation, Super Rare
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Large Amethyst Geode Portal with a Rare Crown Formation of Sparkly, Deep Purple Amethyst on Custom-Made Rotating Stand ▫️ Description A rare, stunning Amethyst Geode Portal, this natural masterpiece brings world-class aesthetics with its large, sparkly purple druzy, formed in an array that resembles a sparkling crown. Amethyst specimens with this crown formation are sourced exclusively from a single mine in Ametista do Sul, making it a truly rare addition that brings beauty and natural elegance to any collection or interior space. The geode's rim, outlined by the agate matrix, emphasizes the rich Amethyst center, drawing the eye to the portal. The all-natural green basalt, present as part of the geode's formation, adds balance and harmony to its colors, enhancing its stunning aesthetics. The druzy of this specimen is of world-class quality, featuring points that reveal a vibrant purple tone, embodying tranquility and spiritual depth. These Amethyst points are complemented by naturally polished facets with a mirror-like shine, reflecting the light and creating a display that mesmerizes the viewer. With both sides being gorgeous, we chose to display it on a 360-degree rotating stand so you can fully observe this natural masterpiece. This Amethyst portal is not only a natural geological formation; it is a work of natural art. I am confident that you will be amazed by the beauty and rarity of this Amethyst Geode Portal as it takes center stage in your collection or decor, dazzling with its formation and shine. Amethyst Crown Geode Slice with Large Sparkly Amethyst Druzy on a Rotating Stand
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Found only in the Poncio Mine, Amethyst Geodes with Crown formations are a very rare form of Amethyst where the crystal points form a regal crown-like structure, elevating them from the usual druzy formations, a rare and highly regarded amethyst that is ready to find a top spot in your collection, decor, or gallery. The crown Amethyst is the main highlight of this specimen, the points face forward and are naturally decorated with tiny Golden Goethite needles, creating an overall sparkly brilliance that dazzles the eyes. Another special characteristic is the exquisite beauty of its Amethyst matrix, which has been expertly polished to accentuate its natural colors and drawings. It is a double-sided slice and we chose a 360º rotating base, that way you can easily see the beauty of both sides. A project that started with the raw amethyst agate geode...

X-Large 6.1ft Deep Purple Amethyst Butterfly Wings (460 lb)
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Majestic X-Large Amethyst Geode Wings, An Impressive Statement of Size and Natural Artistry ▫️ Description A pair of amethyst geodes combines multiple special characteristics, making these geode wings a rare find. These wings feature a deep purple tone, accentuated by a frame of clear quartz and their natural wing-like shape—a one-of-a-kind addition to an elegant décor where a statement energetic piece is desired. Naturally highlighted in these amethysts, the druzy is of superb quality and beauty. The purple tone of them, often referred to as intense Lavender Purple Amethyst, pairs perfectly with the naturally polished and transparent large points, lending a lustrous quality to the specimen. The formation of these geodes is another special characteristic. Both display a clear crystal layer as the matrix, which then allows the amethyst to grow. It’s important to note these amethyst wings...

Rare Blue Lace Agate with Clear Quartz Geode Slice, Natural Geological Art
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Natural Agate Slice with Stunning Banding Patterns, Natural and Undyed ▫️ Description With an extraordinary growth pattern, this agate slice defies logic, leading to an intriguing question: How could a crystal layer develop between the agate's natural bandings? This one-of-a-kind, high-grade piece is a genuine form of geological art, the perfect gift for an Agate lover, or the piece to start conversations as a decorative masterpiece. The natural drawings first started as a dark green banding, which evolved into blue and white agate laces. After these laces, a geological miracle occurred, where a layer of amethyst crystal formed, adding hints of clear quartz and purple to the geode, leaving us to wonder how it came to be. To crown it all, in the final stages of its evolution, blue lace agate formed, allowing only white layers to develop in its center. It is all-natural, with the perfect, delicate lines growing intact, this piece is a true natural artwork. We decided to display it in a custom-made stand, enabling you to enjoy both sides of this specimen. You might wonder, "How did the blue lace layers form?" Agates usually develop in volcanic basalt cavities, filled over time with silica-rich water that leaves behind layers as it evaporates. While this explains the colorful bands, the crystal layer between the agate layers remains a mystery. Fascinating, isn't it? Check out the photos and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍 ▫️ Rare Blue and White Lace Agate with an Amethyst Crystal Layer (Cut, Polished, RAW, no enhancing treatment) ▫️ Color: Blue, White ▫️ Quantity: 1 - The item you see is the item you get ▫️ Size: -- 2.7 Kg - 6.0 lb -- Height: 29.5 cm. - 11.6 In. -- Width: 20 cm. - 7.9 In. -- Depth: 3 cm. - 1.2 In. ▫️ Amethyst Origin: Ametista do Sul - Brazil ▫️ Base: Self Standing ▫️ Ethically Sourced ▫ The E2D Crystals and Minerals Mission: It's been a long journey to bring you the best quality Minerals and Crystals from Brazil while making sure that every item we sell was ethically sourced.
