During a visit to Château La Coste in 2018 Charlotte Culot was inspired by a strikingly modern woven tapestry designed by Le Corbusier. She was there to see the Etel Adnan exhibition whose writing she admires, and when she realised that this artist too had had some of her compositions woven as tapestries by Aubusson, her desire to transpose her works into carpets was confirmed. This serendipitous encounter convinced Charlotte Culot to follow her new creative vision, enriching an artistic career that began with painting in 1990.
