Trilit is a vivacious exaggeration of a simple wood joint, naively distorting a
rational solution into a complex craft. The bulging contours make the piece seem upholstered or inflated and give a playful impression that encourages interaction. Such semblance however, is put in contrast to its rigidity and weight. Trilit is intended to be used as an occasional stool and is made out of carefully selected solid Douglas fir wood.
SNICKERIET is a furniture studio with an explorative approach to traditional woodworking craft and philosophy. Projects are initiated as research into topics revolving technique, construction, decoration and material properties. The findings are released in the form of individual pieces of furniture. The studio was founded in 2011 and is based in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
