Rare & fabulous Antique Napoleon lll clock garniture with incredible quality bronze sculptures.
You will rarely see a clock garniture with bronzes of this quality and detail. The bearded thinker/philosopher on top of the marble clock is simply astonishing. His natural poisture, his hair, face and hands, but also his clothes, it is all of a quality and detail that only a master sculptor can achieve. And the patina also is just perfect. The philosopher is marked on the back and it reads 'BE x'.
The two bronze female (classical maiden) sculptures are in fact two stunning candle holders and they too stand on beautifully shaped black marble bases with cartouches. These majestic candle holders are marked on the sides 'L.V.E. ROBERT' (Louis Valentin Elias Robert) and on the back they read 'AD x'.
The black marble clock comes with a circular dial face with gilt Roman numerals and this clock has a well working movement. The movement is stamped 'DENIERE / A PARIS' and '2165'. On the bottom it reads A.Blacher and there also is a cachet with 'MEDAILLE D'OR / Paris / 1827'.

This handsome and decorative, Gothic wall shrine is completely hand-crafted out of solid oak and it will look awesome, no matter where you decide to mount or place her. It must have taken its creator quite a few days to first draw this intricate design on paper and then hand carve the entire piece out of solid oak. The Gothic Style elements are deeply handcarved in both doors and they make this shrine highly decorative and an absolute joy to own and look at. This cabinet chapel (or chapel cabinet) comes with its brass lock in perfect working order and also with its original gothic style key. The handgrip is in fact a Gothic trefoil symbol (for the trinity). What also makes this piece extra attractive is the Gothic church window-like frame behind the doors. A charming late 19th-century Venetian polychromed chest of drawers, richly decorated in the Rococo revival taste. The serpentine-fronted commode is topped with a faux-marble painted surface in warm terracotta tones, bordered with a gilt cartouche outline. The bombe-form case is painted in soft sage green with reserves of ochre and gilt scrollwork enclosing floral bouquets of roses, tulips, and garden blooms rendered in delicate polychromy.
The three graduated drawers are fitted with cast brass rococo handles, their sinuous foliate forms complementing the painted ornament. The chest is raised on cabriole legs with gilt accents and painted floral sprays at the knees, terminating in scrolled feet.
