Large and rare 19th Century Regency Huanghali Revolving Drum Table or rent table.
This fine quality regency period drum table has eight Camphor lined drawers in the frieze, two of which have Chinese script on the underside saying NO 1 and No 7. Each drawer is adorned with two brass knobs. The body of the table is supported on a central columnar stem with four splayed and line inlaid legs.
The table is of large and important size and has attained a beautiful golden colour which is highly attractive. There are additional signs of quality visible throughout, from the fine detail on the column stem to the inlaid stringing on the legs and the particularly fine gilt brass lion’s paw castors.

Fine and Rare George II Mahogany Galleried Octagonal Table
Located in Lymington, GB
This fine, larger than usual, George ll-period table has a baluster-galleried octagonal top supported on a birdcage, allowing the top to both swivel and tilt. Note the fine, tapering, fluted column continuing into a carved collar. The well-drawn cabriole tripod base is foliate-carved at the knees and toes.
Of lovely old colour and patina throughout and in original condition. The spindle gallery has a rare and original feature of elegant brass 'spacers' with slightly protruding brass studs. Note the one-piece, beautifully-figured top.
Vis. A similar tripod table from the Percival Griffiths Collection is illustrated in R. W. Symonds 'English Furniture from Charles ll to George ll' (1929) fig. 152.
Another was sold from the Frederick Howard Reed Collection by Christies on 16th November 1955.

The best was in the second and third quarters of the 19th century which is when this table was made. Constructed of walnut the table is designed to feel monumental without being of that scale. Set on four Quatrefoil column legs that rise to a shaped pierced arch that is centered on each side by a shield. The finish is old and excellent in color and sheen. For this table, I first sauce the perfect slabs for the tabletop which can take some time to find, the main thing is that you are not in a hurry, this will be a one-of-a-kind unique project. Once I have found the perfect slabs I will send you photographs for you to approve and keep you updated as we progress to the final finishing. The oil finish can either be a natural ( main photos) oak or darker or lighter shades.
Oak can also be ebonized to an almost black with the grain colour still visible, see the Photo of the ebony finishes.
The tabletop has a complete live edge running around the entire circumference of the slabs.
