Initially planned as a seat for the large T 14 table, the S 14 bench borrows its base and pillar legs from the T 14 and its robust look from the S 01 stool. Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) Pierre Chapo was first interested in painting, but his encounter with a shipbuilding carpenter in 1947, introduced him to wood and woodworking, and led to architectural studies at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
