About the artist:
Cecilia’s is working with all geometrical forms, lines and shadows.
Her style developed to be clean and sharp forms in different combinations.
Often they are in juxtaposition to create a three dimensional effect.
Since two decades she has only painted in acrylic on canvas.
Her art characteristics are uniform geometrical shapes with pristine borders,
often in bold colours.
Born in Sweden in 1954, Cecilia Setterdahl has always been painting from Swedish
inspiration. Studied ascetics in High School and then went on to the Technical University of Lulea and graduated as a teacher. Moved to Stockholm and studied
at the “Konstskolan” First exhibition 1988. Through a move to Neuchatel, Switzerland Cecilia continued her studies at the M-Art and Accademie Maximilien de Meuron. “Art Studio Bv5”, together with 4 other artists, she continued
to work until moving to Dubai in 2015. Several part exhibitions in Neuchatel, Lausanne, Geneva, Brussels, London, New York, Hong Kong and Sweden.
In the United Arab Emirates she has exhibited both acrylic paintings and hand- made carpets at Downtown Design Dubai which is held yearly in Oct or Nov.

Contemporary New York artist Peter Buchman's "Exit Strategy" is made of laser cut plexiglass, acrylic medium and enamel on wood. It's a part of his Voice-Over series, in which the artist culls linguistic phrases in a journey to immortalize how wonderfully other cultures have contributed to the American Diaspora. To explain that Buchman's word paintings are 'A Figure of Speech' is underestimating the level of soulfulness at which these works reside. They are markings directly from the artist’s hand yet are indications of many people before him. These are words from familiar phrases, music albums, his funny brand of irony and the human form itself. As far as "Exit Strategy" goes, Peter Buchman tends to dream a lot when he sleeps. When it's a really deep sleep, he is usually in an espionage kind of caper. Maybe James Bond meets film noir. He doesn't know why, but he's woken himself up running in place, sweating, and truly believing that he's killed someone. It is such a relief to sit up in bed and find that nothing's really happened, and all is well in his little corner of the world. With that said, there's a twisted, funny side to all of this, which leads him to something that everyone is familiar with: getting out of a sticky situation and how to address it. Facing it head-on and with a sense of humor is his default. Signed and dated en verso. This is a commissioned piece and will ship directly from the artist's studio.
American artist Peter Buchman has BFA in Illustration from The Rhode Island School of Design and did a Sculpture Residency at The School of Visual Arts in New York. Peter's artwork has been exhibited throughout the US since 1981 including the Parrish Art Museum (Southampton, NY), Cooperstown Museum (NY), Delaware Museum of Art, Kidder Smith Gallery (MA) and Vered Gallery (East Hampton, NY). "The bamboo forest drew me in like a magnet. Walking through the forest paths was a totally Zen experience and I wanted to capture this feeling through my lens. I needed soft light for my delicate exposure - and total calm. My hike started out at first light — I knew finding the perfect section of the mile-long path would be challenging. There is never enough time in the day to get everything perfect — as composition is always critical. As the sun rose high, winds chimed throughout the forest.
