The Victorian pendant is embellished with a stunning feature 4.10ct twelve claw set cushion cut garnet, to the centre of the pierced decorated oval-shaped setting. The garnet is encircled by eight impressive individually claw set Old European round cut diamonds alternating with eight stunning individually claw set round faceted emeralds. The impressive, scrolling setting features a further sixteen Old European cut diamonds, individually claw set to the outer border of the shaped design. The stunning Victorian pendant is further ornamented with yellow gold scroll and bead ornamentation. This stunning and rare antique gold brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold. The brooch has been crafted in the form of a three dimensional grasshopper. The body and wings are embellished with an impressive array of bead motifs, each encircled with a spiralling border, replicating the variety of organic textures within the insect's anatomy. Both of the compound eyes of the grasshopper take the form of a collet set, cabochon cut turquoise, totalling 0.06ct. The thorax and abdomen of the insect are each embellished with an individually four claw set, Old European round cut diamond. The grasshopper is further ornamented with yellow gold legs, incorporating pierced decoration to the hind femur.
