Chaco’s artwork has been exhibited in Dallas, Santa Fe, New York and Los Angeles and Paris. Trees and Moonlit Sky (Archival Inkjet Print on Watercolor Paper)
By Betsy Weis
Located in Hudson, NY
archival inkjet print on watercolor paper 16 x 16 inches unframed 2018 Photographed in Maine, this color archival pigment print by Betsy Weis captures a grouping of trees at dusk. The serenity of the moon's gentle light against a deep blue evening sky illuminates the dark forest below. This photograph is available unframed. The image measures 16 x 16 inches. Artist statement: Nature provides the perfect model of beauty, according to Plato and Socrates. In the classical period, something was considered beautiful because it existed in nature; art was secondary. In the 18th Century, the German philosopher Johann Joachim Winckelmann argued against the idea that art imitates life, believing that qualities superior to nature are found in art, specifically, ideal beauty, and “brain-born images”. Neoclassical thought represented that art need not serve any end other than its own existence. For me, beauty is an ideal, nature is real, and art comes from the brain. I take pictures in nature, finding shifting, disparate, and beautiful landscapes. I develop my pictures of trees...

An active architecture photographer since 1985, is a master of perspectives and precise spatial compositions, and he thus considers classical sculpture, in all of its possible facets, a special challenge. "Görner’s photographs sometimes open the doors to another world and take the viewer with them on a journey through time. Here the palace is no longer a museum but both royal residence and a site steeped in history. The viewer does not have to share the halls with the masses of visitors; instead the images offer him exclusive impressions of the Galerie des Glaces (Hall of Mirrors) and the Galerie des Batailles (Hall of Battles) as even the king of France was probably never granted. The halls are empty of people, yet they seem to be able to unfurl their individual characters of their own accord. These places practically breathe history, and this aspect is also part of the essence captured in the photographs. King Wilhelm of Prussia was named German Emperor Wilhelm...

Vintage Silver Gelatin Signed Photograph Samuel Gottscho Garden Flowers Photo NY
By Samuel Gottscho
Located in Surfside, FL
Vintage hand signed and stamp signed with the photographers stamp and numbered photo of trilliums. Samuel Herman Gottscho (February 8, 1875 - January 28, 1971) was an American architectural, landscape, and nature photographer. Samuel Gottscho was born in Brooklyn in New York City. He acquired his first camera in 1896 and took his first photograph at Coney Island. From 1896 to 1920 he photographed part-time, specializing in houses and gardens, as he particularly enjoyed nature, rural life, and landscapes. After attending several architectural photograph exhibitions, Gottscho decided to perfect and improve his own work and sought out several architects and landscape architects. After twenty-three years as a traveling lace and fabric salesman, at an age when most people would have given up their youthful dreams, Gottscho became a professional commercial photographer at the age of 50. His son-in-law William Schleisner joined Gottscho in his business in 1935. During this time his photographs appeared in and on the covers of American Architect and Architecture, Architectural Record. His portraits and architectural photography regularly appeared in articles in the New York Times. His photographs of private homes in the New York and Connecticut suburbs often appeared in home decoration magazines. From the early 1940s to the late 1960s, he was a regular contributor to the Times of illustrated articles on wildflowers. the meticulous, adoring pictures of New York City architecture and interiors that he took at his creative peak in the late 1920's and early 30's are finding a new audience, placing him more firmly in the ranks of the great architectural photographers of his day, like Ezra Stoller, Julius Shulman and Ken and Bill Hedrich. the Museum of the City of New York, which has one of the largest archives of Gottscho's work, showed about 150 of his best city scenes in an exhibition called "The Mythic City: Photographs of New York...

Fly Geyser, Black Rock Desert, limited edition photograph, signed, archival ink
By Mitch Dobrowner
Located in Sante Fe, NM
Fly Geyser, Black Rock Desert, limited edition photograph, signed, archival ink The terrain of the Black Rock Desert, Nevada is an area that I have always wanted to explore. In November of this year, I finally got the chance. The area is sparsely inhabited with the largest town being Gerlach - population of 100. Humans have inhabited the Black Rock Desert since approximately 11,000 BC.. The large black rock formation was used as a landmark by early settlers and emigrants that initially crossed and settled in the area. At its base is a large hot spring and grassy meadow, which was an important place for those crossing the desert headed for California and Oregon. In the mid-1800's John Fremont...

Tree and Pond, Ghent (Sepia Toned Pigment Print of a Sunlit Landscape)
By James Bleecker
Located in Hudson, NY
Tree and Pond, Ghent NY, 2018 pigment print on watercolor paper, signed dated and numbered on face 20 X 24, edition of 25 $2,500.00 also available in 13 x 16 inches, edition of 25 $1,500 This Black and White Sepia-toned print of a pond in upstate New York was taken by photographer, James Bleecker. The rural scene depicts a leafy tree streaming with sunlight. The pond in the background is surrounded by trees and reflects some of the golden light. Artist Statement: These photographs span the last decade of nearly four that I have worked in the Hudson River valley. While I have photographed landscapes, towns and cities, I have chosen a selection of rural scenes for this show. All are in Columbia County except “Allee,” (Tuxedo Park) and Quimby Farm (Marlborough). My photography spans four decades of living in the Hudson River Valley. While my Dutch ancestors settled here early - Bleecker and Verplanck are common place names - I don't know what, if any, pull that fact exerts. Certainly I'm attracted to the layers of time exposed here; in ancient stone walls, leaning barns, faded mansions and mill towns. The valley exudes boom and bust, love and leavings. About the Artist: James Bleecker photographs the landscapes and architecture of his native New York State. Since 1983 his work has spanned independent fine art photography and commercial architectural photography. Much of his work has been commissioned by museums and historic preservation groups in the Hudson River valley. About James’s work, Edgar Munhall, Curator Emeritus of The Frick Collection, has written, "James's work is powerful and mature. Rigorously composed and technically perfect, his photographs can reduce you to tears by their beauty." Collections: Berkshire Museum Barry Diller...
