The story: In the 1980s, potter Lola Rae invited Toshika to her ceramic studio and kiln in Ojai, CA to teach a class. This stunning circular centerpiece is raised on three rectangular Ormolu block supports with mottled socle shaped bases that support the highly detailed legs. These three blocks surround a most elaborately decorated diamond shaped cut crystal central platform. The centerpiece has three beautifully scrolled legs with handsome pawed feet and lovely interlocking geometric bands. These bands lead up to exceptional and richly chased maidens with lavish jewelry on their heads and neck. The three maidens flank the exceptional Ormolu and Crystal finial.
