Chaise Longue Outdoor Indoor Sculpture Mirror Steel Metal Spheres Design Italy
By Barberini Gunnell
Located in Ancona, Marche
The sculptural chaise longue 'Golem' is an imposing sculpture, made up of hollow stainless steel spheres, welded one by one by hand and mirror polished. A sinuous top cuts the group of spheres creating the chaise longue, on which you can lie down. The set of spheres creates distorted and fascinating reflections. The sculpture can also be positioned outdoors, giving its best when it reflects the sky and the surrounding greenery. Dimensions: L 210 x W 113 x H 77 cm. Limited Edition of 6. Each sculptural chaise longue is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved). 100% handmade in Italy, comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. This sculpture takes shape from the ancient legend, a mass of shapeless steel, like a mountain capable of transmitting stillness but also a deep sense of respect, because now it seems to be docile, dormant, at the service of man, but beware, we do not know for how long. Raw material, formless, existence that precedes the essence. Steel melts, roaring bangs, joins violent piece on piece, sphere on sphere; unformed aggregate of cold steel material, disquieting monster. Imperfection leads to transformation, slowly forms, shines and silently begins to live. What was created was the first spirit and idea of man who is now reflected on his polished steel, the dark monster that, observing it, will see the reflection of his evil soul. Amorphous material devoid of soul, devoid of emotions, of life. The chaise longue golem was published in the Interior Design New York magazine in October 2017. 'Golem' was shown at the following art fairs: -The Salon Art + Design, New York, 2018 -ArtMiami, Miami, 2018 -Pad Monaco, Monte Carlo, 2019 -Pieruga Art exhibition, 2019 - Alpemare, Bocelli's family Beach...

Chaise Lounge Curved Steel Vegetable-Tanned Cowhide / Dyed Sheepskin Patchwork
By Jover + Valls
Located in Alcoy, Alicante
Special edition The hug contemporary chaise longue is designed and conceived with a light aesthetic, the slight oscillation of the steel rod of 16 mm is complemented by the flexibility of the double 3.5 mm thick leather. When sitting in this furniture you feel an enveloping sensation, like being hugged, since the weight of the body is distributed evenly. Each unit becomes a refuge of visual and ergonomic wellbeing. Our Hug Collection is inspired by the organic lines of a landscape, the curves of nature, and the imaginary silhouette of the wind inspire this collection of organic forms, almost like metallic sculptures. The chaise lounge is an iconic piece of furniture that has evolved throughout the history of interior design. The version at hand is an example of how contemporary design can merge with traditional techniques and sustainable materials to create a unique piece. The CNC bent steel is a durable and resilient material that allows for a wide variety of shapes and designs. Its use in this chaise lounge is particularly fitting as it contributes to an elegant and sophisticated aesthetic that contrasts with the warm and soft vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. The Spanish artisanal tannery responsible for the leather manufacturing has achieved an exceptional result in terms of quality and sustainability. As it is vegetable-tanned, the leather is chromium-free, meaning it does not contain harmful or toxic substances. Moreover, the use of traditional tanning techniques and the employment of leather artisans ensure that each leather piece is unique and has its own character. The metal, on the other hand, has been treated using a manual process of polishing, nickel plating, electroplating, and semi-matte lacquer. These processes, carried out by skilled artisans, give the metal a smooth and pleasant-to-touch finish, which in turn contrasts with the hardness of the steel. Finally, the dyed sheepskin...

Charlotte Perriand Tokyo Chaise Longue by Cassina
By Charlotte Perriand, Cassina
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Chaise Longue designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1940. Relaunched by Cassina in 2011. Manufactured by Cassina in Italy. It is through this veritable piece of design history that Cassina expresses its exceptional wood-working mastery. Designed, but not realised, in 1940, by Charlotte Perriand during her time in Tokyo, this chair uses bamboo to revisit the famous LC4 chaise-longue. Its organic form, curvy and inviting, has been re-issued and is now available in teak, and well as bamboo wood. The seat of this recliner is made of twelve curved strips of wood while the joining elements are satin-finish brass studs. Adding mattresses for outdoor use provides dashes of colour to help furnish a veranda, terrace, or any other kind of outdoor space. A piece of design history that conveys Cassina’s exceptionally fine wood craftsmanship. A chaise longue with a sinuous, welcoming, organic shape, originally made from bamboo. An innovative project from 1940, put into production in 2011, crafted by Charlotte Perriand during her stay in Japan as a re-imagining of the LC4 based...

De Sede DS-142 Adjustable Chaise Longue in Leather Upholstery by Winfried Totzek
By De Sede
Located in Brooklyn, NY
The lounger is a multifunctional relaxation furniture, where the back and the armrests can be individually and continuously adjusted and brought into different positions. This unusual seating furniture thus becomes a dynamic, relaxation-promoting system for the entire muscula-ture. The extraordinarily versa-tile usability enables complete psycho-physical relaxation; by extending the sitting and lying with legs positioned high to very high, the lounger serves to prevent leg swelling and back pain. The synthesis of elegant form and function is rounded off by the masterful workmanship of high-quality leather just typical of de Sede. The DS-142 thus becomes an ideal and versatile recliner. Who better to design a piece of seating furniture than a doctor like Dr. Winfried Totzek...
