A spectacular and very important French early 19th century Louis XVI st. white Carrara marble and ormolu clock by Raingo Frères. The clock is raised by elegant topie shaped feet with fine wrap around berried laurel bands below the white Carrara marble base with rounded sides decorated with richly chased pierced intertwined berried laurel and blooming flower bands, and a finely detailed central plaque depicting charming cherubs playing musical instruments. Above are two exquisite patinated bronze maidens sitting on a mottled support with lovely foliate designs each draped in wonderfully executed garments and holding a wreath and flowers with a charming winged cherub extending his arms up. At the center is the elegant enameled dial with Arabic hour numerals amidst lovely floral garlands and numbers indicating the date at the border with delicate pierced ormolu hands with a remarkable pieced foliate design at the back. An exceptional and extremely high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period marble and ormolu three piece garniture set signed Raingo Frères, Paris. The clock and original matching pair of candelabras are raised by impressive marble bases with the clock raised on reeded block feet at the front and elegant fluted topie shaped feet at each side. At the center is a striking fitted ormolu plaque with lovely scrolled acanthus leaves and Rinceau shaped scrolls flanked by lovely fluted designs with fitted ormolu foliate chandelles. Impressive intricately detailed cornucopias lead up each side with beautiful ripe fruit and blooming flowers tied with a wonderfully executed flowing ribbon. The enameled clock face displays elegant pierced ormolu hands and Roman numeral hour markers and Arabic numeral minute markers centering the signature and framed within the ormolu bezel with a fine laurel band and the original hand blown glass. The graceful arch shaped top displays a superb ormolu reserve of the eternal flame, a quiver, and a bow tied to a berried laurel wreath with a ribbon symbolizing peace, prosperity, and protection. At the center of each candelabra is a remarkable spiral fluted support centered by four elegant curved supports with fine foliate accents and charming swaging chains. An impressive and magnificent "mignonette" desk clock, created in Paris France by the house of Cartier, during the Edwardian Belle Epoque period, back in the 1905. This stunning piece is very rare and has been designed with neoclassic French patterns and carefully crafted with parts made up in yellow gold of 18 karats, silver and platinum. It is mounted with four spherical parts, carved from green chrysoprase. The five sides are embellished with applications of vivid purple enamel over a sunburst and linear guilloche ground and the borders are accented with a linear frame of white champleve enamel. Fitted in the reverse with a system to open and close the three winding parts to manipulate. Movement: Mechanical 8 days, key winding and It is accompanied with the associated original key. Dial: White ceramic, with Arabic black numerals, with gold indexes batons for the seconds and gold hands with juxtaposed circles ending on arrowhead, inscribed, Cartier Paris-London. Diamonds: The platinum part on top is mount, with 60 calibrated Old European rose cuts diamonds, 0.30 carats, F color, VS-1 clarity Chrysoprase: Mounted with screws on the base, with 4 four spherical cabochon cuts carved from natural translucent green chrysoprase with a weight of 8 carats. Weight: 272.8 Grams, (174.87 Dwt). Measurements: 69 mm by 50 mm by 37 mm (2.72 x 1.97 x 1.46 Inches).
