The andirons feature oval lemon finials which sit on a Doric column with plinth, and the cast arched legs with spurs rest on finely formed slipper pad feet. The crossing between the feet is peened with a hand threaded iron rod which attaches to a fixed nut in the lemon finial at the upper end and is forged through to the forged iron log rest.
