Each central reserve exquisitely hand painted with scattered views of decorative still life of Summer flowers and old roses on an off-white ground.
Both plates with applied naturalistic branch handles with flower encrusted detailing.
Condition: Exceptional condition for such early pieces, with no losses, very light evidence of wear to gilding. Crossed swords marks in underglaze blue, impressed numerals on each verso.

Bohemia is well known for crystal, in large part because of certain minerals found only in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. The casing is two crystals melted together, then cut. They set the stage for crystal making and cutting, and I think you may have that backwards, they taught the rest of Europe how to make and cut glass. Depicting a standing pose of an Irishman the Duke of Wellington in full uniform attire, holding a sword and standing on a magnificent, stepped platform with a ball foot at each corner.
Condition: Good overall condition, with no restoration anywhere, professionally re-silvered by our restorers in London. Doorstop is constructed by bolting together in three areas, see image. Casting is exceptional, study face area.
