Ignazio Gardella Digamma Armchair in Emerald Green Lelièvre Fabric and Brass
By Ignazio Gardella, Lelièvre Paris, Santa Cole
Located in The Hague, NL
Designed by Ignazio Gardella in 1957, the Digamma lounge chair is a comfortable chair with roots in the late Italian modernist tradition. Its rational construction features two geometric sections - the rectangular upholstered back and seat - bound by a firm upholstered frame. The black metallic legs are finished off with Gardella's iconic brass 'duck' feet. The armchair has a three-position reclining backrest offering additional comfort and adjustability. This chair is a custom version realized by Santa & Cole for Kabinet Hubert, upholstered and sewn by hand in an emerald green Lelièvre fabric. This soft and dense fabric is a delicate combination of chenille and bouclé yarns. Ignazio Gardella was a member of the so-called third generation of the Modern Movement. He is considered one of the greatest exponents of Italian Rationalism, although he followed its principles in a much more personal way, searching to overcome its limitations. In 1957, he created the Digamma armchair...

Mats Theselius model “Star” easy chair Kallemo Sweden 2009
By Källemo, Mats Theselius
Located in Etten-Leur, NL
Beautifully shaped “Star” easy chair designed by Mats Theselius for Källemo, Sweden 2009. This iconic chair showcases Theselius’s unique approach to combining industrial design with comfort and luxury. The chair features a striking star-shaped, polished aluminum frame that supports a leather-upholstered seat, offering both visual impact and ergonomic support. The high-quality leather is designed to age gracefully, developing a rich patina over time, while the aluminum frame adds a touch of modernity and structural integrity. The contrast between the sleek metal, white pearl back and the black leather creates a harmonious balance, making this chair both a functional seat and a statement piece. It is in very good original condition. Perfect for contemporary or modern interiors, the Star easy chair exemplifies the innovative craftsmanship of Theselius and the exceptional quality for which Källemo is renowned. This chair is ideal for collectors or anyone looking to add a distinctive touch to their living space. An incredible catch! Only 360 of these chairs are produced. This particular one is number 169. __________________________________________________________________________________ Mats Theselius is a Swedish furniture designer who was born in Stockholm in 1956. Theselius studied interior architecture at Konstfack in Stockholm from 1979 to 1984 and from 1995 to 1996 he was a professor at the School of Design and Crafts at the University of Gothenburg.
