Antique French Gilt Bronze Statue Medieval King Louis VII Knight Templar 1880

A fine Antique 19th century cast gilt bronze statue of the medieval French King Louis VII of France, circa 1880.
King Louis VII (1120–1180) was the King of France from 1137 until his death and was famous for his role in the crusades. The statue is very finely cast and depicts Kind Louis VII wearing his crown and medieval armor decorated with Fleur de Lis and his coat of arms with a coronet, his swork hanging by his side. The figure is resting on a ruin of a gothic arch niche with a Knight templar standing with his sword, to the right on the ground is the kings shield featuring a cross and resting on his battleaxe.
The statue is raised on a black marble plinth, condition is excellent, the quality of the casting & gilding is of the finest quality and done by the lost wax method (or Cire Perdue in French)

This beautiful toucan sculpture measures about 11 inches high! It is in good vintage condition overall, showing a little wear and a small, clean chip off the tip of the beak, shown in the last photo though it is hard to photograph and hard to see in photos.
"Färe-Marcolin" is what the FM stands for in FM Konstglas.
Josef Marcolin (1933-2015), who originallly lived and was trained as a glassblower in Murano, Italy, moved to Sweden with his brother Benito in 1954. They made beautiful blown glass/crystal sculptures such as this one, which are known for their unique blend of Murano and Swedish style. Perfect for the MCM affcionado who likes art and whales but whose space needs reqyure function as well, this lucite sculpture is made to hold pens or make-up brushes and look good doing it. (There is also a slit for the mouth for holding mail, cards, notes, etc.)
The sculpture measures approximately 8.5 x 3.75 x 2.25 inches.
Fairly good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. As is typical with these, there are visible scratches. There are also blemishes (for example, the underside appears to show evidence of a previous label) that could probably be alleviated by proper lucite cleaning/polishing techniques. Priced accordingly.

This fantasic kinetic two fish sculpture, which measures about 9.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 inches overall, is great for the MCM affcionado as well as the wildlife lover. Rotate the top fish to give the sculpture the angles your most enjoy, and change it again whenever you like. The two fish can be separated as well, as the rod connecting them is not attached but easily is removable. Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Light scratches, and some blemishes/spots that could possibly be alleviated by proper lucite cleaning/polishing techniques.
