A fine antique Russian Imperial silver gilt & cloisonne enamel tea caddy spoon, Moscow, circa 1880. The shovel shaped spoon having a gilded ground, the handle and rear of the spoon is finely decorated with multicolored floral cloisonne, with jewel tone colors of blue, turquoise, ivory and red. The spoon stem having turned and gilded decoration, the spoon is stamped to the rear of the stem with the maker's marks, silver mark of 84 and the mark for Moscow. The dish can be used as a display object but it can also be proposed as a jewelry dish. Coralia is handcrafted by exceptional craftsmen in Istanbul, Turkey and it is intended to bring joy into our homes. The design was part of the Extraordinary objects collection. Extraordinary Objects are results of research work on form and function while questioning our relationship and interaction with everyday objects. These results are not ordinary shapes, but they are ordinary through their function, and they have to be understood before being used. Each collection is sculptural and has a different material and fabrication method. The designer explored various techniques and materials, from handcrafted glass to laser-cutting metal and 3D printed ceramics.
