This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver teapot has an inverted pear shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The surface of the bachelor teapot is plain and unembellished. The upper rim of the body is ornamented with a band of cast and applied gadroon decoration all in a swirl design. This antique silver teapot is fitted with a hallmarked, domed flush hinged cover surmounted with an impressive and original, cast sterling silver flame style finial; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the piece. This exceptional example of antique teaware retains the original C scroll carved painted wood handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece and a cast silver leaf decorated design to the upper socket, This impressive example of antique silverware has a cast silver swan necked spout embellished with fluted decoration and applied leaf motif to the lip. The ornamentation to the underside of the spout incorporates a vacant oval cartouche below a shell motif. The cast circular spreading foot is encircled with further gadroon decoration to the rim. Note: This maker may have been recorded in the missing 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register or the 1758-1773 Largeworkers' Register, determining this maker's mark to be classed as 'unidentified' in all documents. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain circular form. The body of the mustard pot is encompassed with an exceptional and impressive band of bright cut engraved interlacing decoration accented with a simplified leaf motif. The decoration to the body incorporates a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle rousant, with wings addorsed and inverted, collared and chained, with an unidentified charge. The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive applied bead decorated border. This mustard pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover encircled with an exceptional interlacing eight-pointed star motif with a central floral design. The cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver applied leaf thumb piece. This exceptional example of antique silverware has a plain shaped handle with a scrolling thumb piece. This exceptional antique George V Britannia standard* silver mustard pot has a rounded octagonal panelled form to a pedestal spreading foot. The incurved panelled surface of this silver mustard pot is plain and unembellished, with an applied border to the upper rim. This fine Britannia silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with a tiered circular urn style thumbpiece. The pedestal foot of the mustard pot has a plain stepped form to a collet style rim. This impressive example of antique silverware is supplied with an associated hallmarked sterling silver spoon crafted by William Eley I & William Fearn in 1816. This exceptional mustard pot is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire. * Britannia Silver - The Britannia silver standard of 958 (95.84% of fine silver), denoted by the icon of the seated Britannia holding an oval shield, was introduced by William III in 1697. This was to indicate the slightly higher standard of silver from sterling silver standard of 925 (92.5% of fine silver). Condition This antique silver mustard pot is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver. A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster, an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot. The upper and lower portions of this piece are embellished with embossed and chased bead and scroll decoration accenting concave bordered, fluted decoration all in a spiral design. The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration incorporating chased and embossed bead and scroll decoration, the screw fit attachment indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is further ornamented with a gadroon decorated border to the rim and is surmounted by a fine and impressive scroll decorated shaped baluster style finial.
