I'm Trying to Channel My Inner '90s Supermodel—4 Dresses That Have the Vibe
Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss at the 1995 Costume Institute Gala
Don’t get me wrong. I love Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber just as much as the next fashion girl. But my favorite model-inspired outfits to re-create are by far the iconic looks from the '90s. Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Linda Evangelista were the It girls of the decade, always showcasing their love for fashion and sense of personal style when showing up to red carpets, charity events, fashion parties, and just running around New York, London, Paris, and Milan.
I decided this summer was the time to channel my inner '90s supermodel and started looking at images from that decade and noticed four dress styles that were huge in the '90s yet feel perfect for 2024.
Keep scrolling to see which '90s supermodel approved dress styles I'm bookmarking to wear this summer.
Simple, Strappy, Sexy
Kate Moss at 1993 Look of the Year
For me, when I think of '90s-supermodel dresses, I think of looks like this. Simple, sexy, yet so chic and oozing that sort of effortlessly stylish vibe our favorite '90s supermodels mastered. Plus, with butter yellow trending this summer, this outfit may be from '95 but feels very 2024.

Scarf-Dress Chic
Cindy Crawford at the 1995 MTV Movie Awards
I have to admit I'm obsessed with this one. The neck tie adds a stylish, flirtatious flare to a look that can take even the simplest of dresses to the finish line. This fiery-red body-con minidress with a scarf tie Cindy Crawford wore to the 1995 MTV Movie Awards has been giving me major night-out inspo. It's so good.

The Perfect LBD
Naomi Campbell at The 1994 "Michael" Awards Benefit for the National Children's Leukemia Foundation
The '90s were all about minimalism, and a good black dress has been the old faithful closet pick since it was invented. Naomi Campbell wearing this cowl-neck, slinky black dress styled with a cross necklace to the 1994 "Michael" Awards Benefit for the National Children's Leukemia Foundation is proof that the right black dress and the right accessories can be a the perfect subtle, glamorous combo.

Lace or mesh, dealers choice. But the '90s naked dress has been proven to still be a favorite of fashion girls today. Nothing says confidence like a good naked-dress look. I'm planning on wearing one before the summer ends.
