New Year's Resolutions From Your Favorite It Girls
With New Year's Eve now only a week away, we're feeling a bit behind on making our 2017 resolutions. Whether or not you buy into the tradition of making promises and setting goals for yourself with the start of each new year, it's always a good idea to assess where you are in life and where you want to be—and there's no time like the present.
To help inspire our thoughts, we're turning to some of our favorite It girls to see what resolutions they've made in the past. From Chrissy Teigen to Kylie Jenner, these women have a wide variety of goals they've set for themselves over the years—and many have achieved them!
Feeling like you aren't sure what your New Year's resolution should be for 2017? Keep scrolling to get inspired by some of our favorite It girls!
On Chrissy Teigen: Sally LaPointe Suede High Slit Skirt ($1750); Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and heels.
“I would definitely like to be a closer and better friend to everybody," Teigen told InStyle. "I have this core group of people in my life and it is so hard to keep in touch with them, and they are all having children, and I miss birthdays. And I miss the birth of their kids and I miss their kids’ birthdays and that feels bad every year. So I always send an email around this time every year where I want to be better so I am going to stick with that one forever I think.”
On Gigi Hadid: One Teaspoon Freebirds Destroyed Cotton Denim Jeans ($201).
In 2015, Hadid resolved to "practice boxing on a daily basis,” according to MSN. Based on her recent campaign with Stuart Weitzman, we think she's been keeping it up. And we can all relate to the popular New Year's resolution to exercise more!
On Huntington-Whiteley: Isabel Marant jacket; Babaton Galen Camisole ($60); Givenchy bag; Gianvito Rossi Leather Portofino Heels($815); A.L.C. Estrada Pants ($495).
Our favorite stylish Brit vowed in 2015 to "travel the world extensively, especially Southeast Asia.” Traveling more is definitely a popular resolution, not just around the New Year, but all the time.
On Kim Kardashian West: Balmain dress, Yeezy heels.
"Just thought of another New Years resolution! I really want to make my mom's life easier and be extra nice,” Kardashian West tweeted in 2015. "She's the best and does everything for us.” Spending more time with family is a must in our books for 2017!
On Jamie Chung: Diesel jacket; Twenty Viscose Stretch Midi Dress ($188); New Balance 96 Mashup Casual Sneakers ($110).
"If anything, to be more present,” Chung once told InStyle. "Because I’m always not enjoying the moment and that’s such an actor thing to say, but it’s true. Just enjoy, be grateful for what you have.”
On Kylie Jenner: Opening Ceremony dress; Kurt Geiger boots.
"Just don’t spend any money," Jenner told InStyle of her 2016 resolution. "None—only the necessary. I just bought a house and I get stressed, because I’ve never spent that much money. I’m just focused on business at this point.”
