My Spring Aesthetic Is OOO—Let Me Explain
This spring and summer, whether I’m at my desk, out to dinner, or actually on vacation, my style goal is to emulate someone who has their email set to vacation responder mode because out-of-office style is officially in. It’s kind of like the whole dress-for-the-job-you-want thing but updated to dress for the vibe you want. It’s the perfect cross between S/S 19’s California-cool and traveler trends, and includes, but isn't limited to, maxi dresses, strappy sandals, tourist sandals, tropical prints, wrap skirts, beach-ready accessories, swimsuits as tops, and more.
If this all sounds too abstract for you, not to worry, because of course I've rounded up all the outfit inspo you could possibly need in order to make sense of all this. To see how some of my favorite girls on Instagram are making OOO style their own and shop some of the pieces you'll need to get the look along the way, just keep scrolling.

Printed sets are not only easy on the eyes—they also make for easy outfit ideas.
Everyone needs at least one pair of strappy sandals in their closet this summer.
Jacquemus is another brand that is practically made for this style of dressing.
You can't even begin to attempt vacation style without a caftan.
Loewe's raffia tote was one of the best fashion investments I made last year.
Up next? The best and worst things to pack (for when you actually do go on vacation).
