This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a waisted knopped stem and swept circular foot. The body of this antique goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved floral and foliate festoons. The decoration to the body incorporates an oval vacant cartouche to the centre. The upper portion of the goblet is encompassed with bright cut engraved decoration to the border, incorporating two undulating bands. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver claret jugs made by Elkington & Co; an addition to our Victorian silverware collection These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver jugs have a tapering ovoid body onto a circular domed foot, in a Classic ewer style. The waisted neck of the each jug is embellished with a bright cut engraved undulating band of stylised leaf decoration flanked by plain applied ornamentations in addition to a broad band of scroll and simplified Akroter designs. Each jug is ornamented with individual fine and impressive female Grecian style figures, the first bearing a vine terminating staff and holding out a handled bowl, another passive character featuring long braids in her hair and holding her skirt in one hand and a tied bundle of wheat in the other and the third holding in both hands grapes with flowing garments intertwining her body. The lower portion of each body is encircled with a band of lobed decoration incorporating a circular motif to each alternating terminal, all filled with a matte pattern. These antique silver jugs are fitted with hallmarked domed hinged covers surmounted with an impressive scrolling lobed thumbpiece and featuring an imposing scrolling hinge. This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver communion set consists of a chalice, paten and wine phial/flask. The chalice has a circular baluster form onto a knopped pedestal and spreading foot. The surface of the antique chalice is ornamented with impressive embossed quatrefoil cartouches bearing contemporary engraved initials 'IHS'*. The surface of the drinking vessel is further embellished with impressive flat engraved decoration, emanating from the protruding cartouches, in addition to encircling the upper rim below a plain moulded border. The knops to the panelled pedestal are encompassed with bead decoration. The circular foot of this exceptional chalice is encircled with flat engraved arched geometric designs. The paten has a circular-shaped form to a plain circular foot. The raised border of the paten is embellished with impressive flat engraved decoration, reflecting that of the upper portion of the chalice. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical-shaped form with a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the mustard pot is encircled with impressive chased shaped-bead designs, each accented with opposing scrolling borders and matte backgrounds; this is a highly desirable design. The decoration to the body includes impressive bands of bead decoration to the upper and lower portions, in addition to applied, moulded borders. This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver pierced decorated lobed thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased bead design, composing a central vacant shaped cartouche to the upper plateau. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle accented with a leaf design to the handpiece. Late 19th c., France, a pair of Napoleon III gilt bronze and champlevé candelabra. Four neoclassical column supports are surmounted by five candle cups, on an enamel decorated plinth. Both are unmarked. The beautifully decorated square base is delicately referenced in the square elements under the candle cups and between the column supports. These candelabras are of superb quality. The four champlevé panels on the sides of each base are beautifully executed. The direction of the design alternates around the sides of each candelabra. Champlevé Enameling: A decorative technique that fuses a powdered glassy material into a recess in a metal surface through the application of heat.
