This is a stunning early Victorian - Georgian Antique 14 Karat Gold and Turquoise Bow Forget Me Not Flower Brooch with a hanging locket pendant. The 23 round Persian Turquoise cabochons are absolutely exquisite. The jewels are set in Forget Me Not flower designs in an elegant bow motif with engraved and repousse gold work. Below the bow hangs a round pendant with a locket compartment on the reverse. The locket currently contains a braided hair design. This may be removed and replaced with a photo or memento if desired. The pendant brooch is in its original fitted box from RAV Jeweller, 55 Castle Street, Regent Street .

This fine 18k yellow gold brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a poodle.
The poodle is further embellished with inset ruby eyes and a broad collar with link chain.
The poodle is secured to the reverse with a bar pin and safety catch.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of the poodle's body include the 18k fineness mark (18) (.750) and the London Import Hallmarks.

Dramatic 18k yellow gold filagree bow brooch pendant featuring a leaf and scroll design accented with cabochon emerald and man made faceted rubies. The back has a "c" clasp and a hook so you can wear it as a pendant / enhancer as well. The rubies are synthetic and the emerald cabochons are cracked - I believe this piece was made during World War II and they used family stones and what they could get their hands on.

Production in the old jewelry centres of Alexandria and Antioch gave way to an increased production in Constantinople. The Carolingian (start 742 AD) and the later Ottonian courts (start 962 AD) were linked to the Byzantine empire and adopted their fashion resulting in the northern European Romanesque jewelry style.

This extravagant French Renaissance Revival "Holbeinesque" demi-parure dating from circa 1870 consists of a day/night girandole pendant earrings and a brooch, both composed of garnets, emeralds, diamonds, seed pearls, enamel and 18K gold. The day/night girandole earpendants are each designed with a shaped top centering a cabochon garnet, with detachable pendants suspending flexibly-set garnet drops and seed pearls, enhanced throughout with step-cut emeralds, old mine-cut diamonds, and black and white champlevé enamel, mounted in 18K gold. An exquisite pair of "girandoles", paired with a luxe brooch, this rare French suite in Holbeinesque taste captures the artist's vision of bold form, extravagant color and movement.
