Heinz Finke (born January 27, 1915 in Haldensleben ; November 28, 2007 in Konstanz ) was a German photographer and photojournalist.
Heinz Finke, whose father died in the First World War , was forced into the Reich Labor Service in 1935, later as a "PK-Bildberichter" for the army newspaper "Der Sieg" in the Propaganda Company 625 of the Wehrmacht . There he met the journalist Hans Bayer , who became known as " Thaddäus Troll " after the war . After the end of the war he settled in Wertheim am Main and founded the "Wertheimer Pressedienst". Among other things, he worked for the then publisher and later Federal President Theodor Heuss . As the holder of one of the rare American press licenses, he was like for several daily newspapersFränkische Rundschau , Main-Post , Mannheimer Morgen and Hannoversche Allgemeine work as text and image authors.
Finke lived since 1951 in Konstanz and was Ullstein people to the publisher for the recent Berliner John Weyl founded Südkurier active in Konstanz as a press photographer. He became known as a photo reporter in the post-war years, especially with his photo reports, for example about Theodor Heuss , Albert Schweitzer , Willy Brandt and Konrad Adenauer...

“Every work of art I create portrays a symbolic visual of the urban culture surrounding me. I give my artworks depth and movement with carefully chosen brush strokes lying on top of them. Some of my pieces have few strokes and sometimes they have many. It depends on the energy and motion I want to reflect in the artwork.”
Pete Kasprzak created this one-of-a-kind 11-inch high by 14-inch wide mixed media artwork by applying acrylic paint on a photograph. The unique textures and reflection of the paint set themselves apart from the smooth background. It is signed with the artist's initials on the front; and signed, titled, and dated on the back. Chaco Terada, originally from Japan, was trained at a young age in the art of calligraphy. When Chaco was in her twenties she had the opportunity to work on her calligraphy in ten countries as a part of the cultural exchange programs, Up with People and The Ship for World Youth. When her time with those groups ended she moved to the United States, where she discovered photography and started incorporating it with calligraphy. Chaco has led demonstrations and has taught calligraphy workshops at the Dallas Museum of Art, The Crow Asian Art Museum, Greenhill School, and Saint Mark’s School of Texas among others. Chaco’s artwork has been exhibited in Dallas, Santa Fe, New York and Los Angeles and Paris.
Process Statement
My work uses the Japanese and Chinese calligraphic characters that I have practiced since childhood. I take a line from one character, and when that brushstroke is made it tells me where the next one should be placed. This method of working is untraditional. I have found that the details and individual lines of a character are beautiful by themselves. I may use the individual brushstrokes that form a written word, Japanese letters...
